Star, Doilies, Edging, Snowflake, Bracelet and Motifs,

Michelle tatted this gold star in memory of one of the Navy Seals that died in the crash of the Chinook helicopter. The star is from Tatting for Today and the thread is DMC embroidery floss.

Garyo tatted Mary Konior's Spinning Wheel pattern in Lisbeth #40 Lime Green with silver Toho beads in each corner. Seeing some pictures of white tatting has inspired her to tat in white like this sample of Mary Konior's Patchwork done in DMC cordonnet 40.

Cindy has continued her study of chains trying out, the lock stitch chain, the "S" chain, the "Z" chain and zig zag chain.

Diane has been experimenting with daisy chains. It's interesting what you can learn from simple experiments. Some people find it helpful to drop the shuttle through the ring before closing, some people don't. Some people like the precision of using picot gauges, some don't. Some people like to "eye ball" picot length and bare thread chain length, some don't. Some people like up joins and some like down joins. You never know what you like, unless you do your own experiment.

Fox has tatted Jon's Kencana in Lizbeth #40 and had anothother dyslexic meltdown trying to figure out how to close the circle. The motif however, looks like a wonderful citrus sorbet.

Marty used Sulky machine embroidery thread and white quilting cotton to tat Iris Niebach's "Stella Alpina" pattern in her book Fantasia which won a red ribbon at the fair. Marty test tatted Jessica Spaulding's bracelet pattern in Lizbeth Caribbean and it won a blue ribbon.

Orsi has her next colourful motif done, but it's a little big and the next one will be smaller.
