Flower, Bookmark, Bracelet, Necklaces, Earrings, Doilies, Pendants, Barefoot Sandals and Dragon

The Guidelines
1. Permission to copy. When a participant joins they are authorizing us to copy their pictures to be shown on the challenge blog.
2. There is no need to advise the Challenge Team to let let us know when you've added things to your blog. We check all of the blogs when we do an update.
3. We can't keep track of how many motifs each person does. You may post articles of tatting that you don't plan on including in your 25, or you may post a pair of earrings and count each earring as a separate motif. We don't read minds, so it's up to each participant to tell us when they have reached their goal of 25.
4. We know from past experience that the challenge is addictive. If you finish and plan on doing it again let us know so that we continue to check your blog on a regular basis.
5. Whenever you get a chance don't just view the pictures here, take the time to click on the links to people's blogs and read all about what they are doing, instead of just getting the snippets of it here. People like it when you take the time to visit their blog and comment on their work. A lot of the fun of the challenge is that we get to know each other and encourage one another to try new things.
6. Tatting 25 motifs in a year typically means tatting 2 motifs per month. Tatters who do not post any tatting content for 5 or 6 months will be removed from the list of participants.
---------------

Muskaan has continued to play with Peace & Tolerance Tiny Heart by Mónica Manceñido and created a 3D poppy flower complete with the instructions for making your own.

Batty Tatter created one more Wooly Boy bookworm, this one with an orange middle.

Lilas found that making a very geometrical bracelet was very trying, but she finally succeeded.

Cigdem's recent creation, Mystery Vine, took days of work. It's shuttle tatted in metallic and polyester threads with beads added while working. This set called Princess, is shuttle tatted in polyester thread and with black diamond crystals and grayish green rondelles in different sizes and shapes.

Ancolie found the design of this doily in an old book called Frauberger Schiffchenspitze - Band II, from the Antique Pattern Library. Although there was no explanation under the picture she was able to look up the number of stitches in other patterns of the book.

Diane finished her latest Spinning Wheel glass mat from Tatting with Visual Patterns by Mary Konior in Omega thread, and she likes the way this turned out, even though it's not exactly what she envisioned. Mom's Pink Doily by Nancy Tracy which she started a while ago for her daughter, is being worked in Lizbeth size 20, #138, Leafy Greens and is one of her works in progress.

Fox is making slow but steady progress on her Jan Stawasz Monster Doily. The addition of tiny Victorian red beads may add panache, but it will also move the finish line back on this huge project.

Marie liked the Egyptian set so much she had to give it a try in silver done in crochet thread with a turquoise and white pearl beads. Then she did it again with teal coloured beads. These earrings were made to match the previous sets. Resin Craft sent out a new bezel to try and here is the one she did in size 80 thread

Mica recently finished this pair of barefoot sandals using TotusMel's pattern although she doesn't go barefoot and probably won't wear them. Although she might wear them to a friends place for an informal party.

Wanda completed the Flying Minor Norwegian Dragon by Anne Bruvold in Lizbeth Twirlz Winter Ice #403 size 20 and now she has to think about how to frame it.

Necklaces, Earrings, Teapot, Bookmarks, Edging, Motifs, Peacock, Doilies, Vest, Flowers, Anklet,

Cigdem used a tear drop shaped natural African Opal Jasper surrounded in tatting done in Altin Basak gold metallic and the polyester in gray-green thread with matching colors and fire polished faceted crystals for this pendant.

mb duke made these beautiful dream catcher earrings using Sue's pattern with vintage Star size 70 thread for her mother-in-law. this tea pot and tea cup will be going to my next door neighbor after I complete the sugar bowl, creamer and second tea cup.  The Maltese tea set from Martha Ess' Tea is for Tatting are done in Lizbeth size 20 Royal Blue and white. Lizbeth size 40 Purple Medium and Lime Green were used to tat Regina Brummett's bookmark.

Laurie picked up CQ blocks at Tat Days and used Spring Flowers in size 80 Lizbeth thread for some embellishment. The Triangular Medallion by Lisa C. Trumble was made with Lizbeth size 20 in color #117 for another block.

Ginny loves using these colours for the peacock which she recently finished.

Kristen has motif 25, Nancy Tracy's Tatted Square Motif. followed quickly by motif 26, the beginning of the round doily of the Spiderweb Dresser Set from The Tatter's Treasure Chest, which is growing rapidly even with the use of a picot gauge. She did another little practice, ring only motif, just to use up some thread, which was a good two for one project. The spider web doily is getting more web. It would have been even bigger if she hadn't actually snipped it instead of the tail end she was hiding. She hid her accidental ends and hopefully is ready to carry on.

SunshineCraft is well on her way with the mystery doily and she's liking how it looks, but she'll soon have a decision to make since she is rapidly running out of the thread colour. Now she just has to determine whether she should hunt for more of the same colour or add in some contrast.

Linda's vest is starting to take shape. She has 35 large motifs and 28 small motifs done. The DMC pattern is all rings and she made modern day changes so there are less threads to tie in utilizing SSSRs

Ancolie tatted this very classic pattern for her 20th motif. Motif 21 is another vintage doily, tatted in soft pastel colours.

Fox tatted this motif using a pattern from A New Approach to Tatting by Yusai Shokoin. The mystery doily is being worked over and over in size 30 Ivory Cebelia as dyslexia strikes again. But finally... Success!

Jess entered Livi's Doily in the local fair and it won a blue 1st place ribbon. She also entered this hair clip, which is an abbreviated version of the flower in Mary Konior's Tatting with Visual Patterns and it won a 2nd place ribbon. Anticipating fall had her dying in colours she doesn't normally choose, but it came out really well.

Margaret had a picture taken of her tatting while on holidays, just to prove that she does indeed tat while vacationing. She has listed the pattern in her Etsy store for her 3D Cymbidium Orchid earrings.

Marie show us the close-ups of the pulpit and stole. The stole edging was made up of simple rings. These exchange items are from Paula and she used the ocean and tea theme. The barefoot sandals to go on the beach with and the little butterfly was tatted by Paula's daughter.

Sue tatted Motif 5 from Tatting the Self-closing Mock Ring book by The Shuttle Brothers Gary and Randy Houtz in size 40 Lizbeth Blue Ice.
