Motifs, Earrings, Doilies, Alphabet, Shuttlebug, Bookmarks, Pendants, Snowflakes, Pincushion, Lanyard, Zipper Pull,

Mary Lena tested out some hand dyed thread she acquired in a giveaway and found the thread to be superb and easy to work with.

Julie's recent creation is a pair of earrings from a Russian pattern by Zelgulab worked in size 30 polyester thread with Miyuki beads. Some time ago she organized a tatalong using the Norma Benporath mat following Jon Yusoff's instructions and here she has posted the results of the 27 participants, along with her's shown here. For the other renditions, take a look at her blog.

Sue whipped up these earrings as a birthday gift for a friend using her favourite colours.

Diane  finished round 9 and carefully marked where she needs to join round 10. Here's the start of the next rows. One more completed pattern repeat of rounds 10 and 11. This is the half way mark. Another repeat completed. Seventh repeat done. Only 2 more repeats to go. Just one more repeat and she's back to where she had to snip!

Erisnyx was invited to a baby shower, and tatted the baby's name using the patterns from The Tatter's Paradise in size 10 thread. This cute little Shuttlebug is a Jane Eborall pattern done in Lizbeth size 20, #132 and #684. This simple bookmark that she made for a friend is an easy pattern similar to the Easy Bookmark from Learn to Tat by Janette Baker, worked in Lizbeth size 20, #604 and #656.

Fox thinks that maybe this is going to be a much smaller mat than she imagined being worked in size 80 thread. Needing a break from the Fikkert doily, she tatted a motif from New Tatting by Tomoko Morimoto and sewed it onto the pocket of a white shirt. With all 12 motifs tatted around Buttercup, it's much smaller than anticipated.

Jenn test tatted the first motif of a doily by Elaine P. Gan.

Margaret used an on line pattern to create these earrings in size 20 thread. The top two in the picture are without beads, in Springtime and black and white. The purple and white set, with purple and white beads are shown in close up. These earrings are called Rainbow and the link on her page shows how to make them with detailed instructions.

Marie created this bridal cameo and needed to drill some holes to attach the tatting. Delicate white lace with pearls and clear sparkling beads makes a lovely bridal hanky. This antique looking pendant was created from a single earring. Part of a broken link bracelet has been re-purposed to make this pendant. Robin Perfetti's Eclipse snowflake was tatted in size 80 thread. Pearls enhance another of Robin's snowflake designs.

Martha received honourable mention for her submission in the Piecework Magazine contest.

Muskaan continues to explore clunies in detail.

HisKid tatted this piece in size 40 thread and it was supposed to be a beaded lanyard for a friend, but the thread is too fine so she played around with it. She used size 40 Lizbeth Tropical Punch, and size 40 Yarnplayer's HDT Celery to make the  centre for the doily by Elaine P. Gan.

Wanda tatted a new zipper pull for her purse to replace the old one that had worn out. A take off on Marilee Rockley's work produced these quick earrings.

Doilies, Motifs, Butterflies, Crosses, Elephant, Dreamcatcher, Angels, Clunies and Earrings

Gwen was busy knitting a baby blanket and has just returned to tatting, finishing up round 4 of Renulek's Spring Doily.

Manisha tatted this two colour motif as part of a greeting card. This tiny one shuttle motif done in white is light and airy.

Sue has another round completed on her doily and the rows of solid colour separating the variegated motifs really makes each motif stand out.

Lelia has another butterfly completed using Mom's Butterfly pattern by Jennifer L. Titus and mailed it off as a surprise gift.

Diane has worked steadily to get to the point where she had to snip. Little by little she's getting there. She's almost finished round 8. Here's round 8 done. Round 9 started. Half way through round 9. The mail brought her the charming butterfly from Carol. Here's round 9 at the 75% mark and she has plans to mark where the next two rounds need to be attached before actually tatting.

Fox has finished Corona, by Ben Fikkert, tatting it in #80 Lizbeth where it measures 22 inches in all it's glorious splendour. She has immediately started a new Ben Fikkert pattern, Buttercups, for a friend.

Jenn picked up some Lizbeth size 20 in #617 Magenta Medium and used it to tat Chrysanthemum from Tatting Patterns and Designs by Blomqvist and Persson.

Margaret tried out the Lizbeth Springtime thread in size 20 to tat the Small Cross by Mary Konior from her Pattern Collection book edged in white, the Cross of Sevens by Robin Perfetti and Marjorie's Angel by Martha Ess. Then she made The Elephant from Tatted Animals  by  Inga Madsen tatting the eye in white with a black bead. She also tatted her own Dream catcher pattern. Cross of Sevens by Robin Pertetti again the same cross in Springtime,  and Lizbeth Royal Wave size 20.

Marie tatted one of her favourite cross patterns by Wanda for one of her boys from church who is graduating. Here's another favourite cross from Lene Bjorn's book. The size 80 thread goes a long way, so here's another cross in the same colour. Since she received quite a few size 80 threads from her Mom, Marie tatted another cross by Lene. She designed this cross bookmark as an anniversary gift. She tweaked the pattern a little for another gift. This one she did for her Mom. The motif on this card she did for Mother's Day was part of Jan's, Number 14 doily.

Martha is finding it slow going manoeuvring around the rings on round 9 of Wiosna. Here are the largest and smallest designs from her upcoming pattern book.

Muskaan was planning on a tutorial for cluny tatting, but got side tracked experimenting with the technique and created a delightful earring design for stud earrings. She has provided her tutorial, giving hints and ideas for making and using cluny tatting.

Wanda is perfecting her doily centre for the round robin she's participating in.
