Heart, Necklace, Earrings, Doily, Robin, Edgings and TIAS

Julie tatted Betsy Evans' Small Tatted Heart in size 10 J.&P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen color #122.

Marta has used a cream coloured thread and beads to make these earrings using the same design she worked on previously, and now she has created a necklace to complete the set.

Ancolie notes that this piece took her 3 weeks to complete, which is very good with a busy schedule.

Brigitte is all ready for spring with this charming Robin design created by Jane Eborall.

Diane has finished tatting the edging for Janet and after she takes a break from it, she's going to do it again without the SLT between motifs.

Fox has been working steadily and feels like this isn't much to show for a week's worth of tatting, but when you figure that edgings in fine thread work up at a rate of about one inch per hour, it's still about 12 hours worth of work.

Kat received the start of this edging in an exchange a couple of years ago and she has just started working on it herself. She has also discovered that undoing a tatted ring can be quite tedious undoing one half stitch at a time. Count twice, close once, is the shuttle tatter's mantra.

Motif, Edging, Shamrock and Doily

Orsi has created another flower that she likes the look of, but she wants to make the outer row wider.

Fox started Mary Konior's Eléonore in YarnPlayer's Celery HDT but didn`t like how looked with the embroidered Lily of the Valley so she switched to Mary Konior's Oranges and Lemons in white with yellow beads.

Kat shuttle tatted Gina`s shamrock pattern and thinks she`s getting the hang of using a shuttle. She also shows us a lovely doily that was recently passed on to her.

Julie was sent a picture of a bookmark her Grandmother tatted and she has re-created one of her own from it in size 10 Royal "Ocean". A second bookmark was made in a variegated Clark's Big Ball size 30 thread and used a lock stitch chain.

Mary was pleased to see that her rendition of Jon's Merriment doily was prominently posted on Etsy.

IsDihara finished the first of two 12 1/3-inch Nelson Edgings designed by Orsi to dress up a pair of Easter socks for her niece.

Julie's grandmother gifted special people with tatted crosses and when her grandmother passed away, Julie was inspired to learn how to tat and continue the tradition. She used pretty dusty rose color labeled as Star Puritan to make Mary Konior's cross called Mark-My-Word.

Corina tatted Marilee Rockley's Elegance earrings from Boutique Tatting patterns in Lizbeth thread and noted that the large beads look black but they are actually purple.The Celtic cross was on her to do list and she did it in two colours of Lizbeth 20, a solid and a variegated purple.

IsDihara received the magnet bookmarks she ordered from Jane Eborall, a butterfly and a seahorse.

Wanda has a shot of Ryan the Flying Minor Norwegian Dragon designed by Anne Bruvold tha she tatted in DMC Cebelia size 30 in Christmas green and #797 blue with a single strand of gold metallic embroidery floss. She used part of Miranda's Angels in the Snow pattern and created a pendant using Lizbeth size 20 in Seagreen Dk 688 with added black shell beads.

Marty has a bunch of blinged shuttles to send off to Shuttlebirds and on the tatting front, she has the beginning of a doily by Jan Stawasz done. She made some modifications, ditching the frilly picots and "let's do a zillion motifs" for the cleaner, "lets do it all in rounds" approach, which required a little flexing of the stitch count. She needs to flex it a little more to get it to sit right without stressing the joins.

Bookmarks, Motifs, Stork, Flowers and a Heart

Julie is a new tatter and shes has joined the challenge to keep her motivated. She begins with Kersti's Stumpy bookmark. The variegated lavender one is J.&P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen and the turquoise one doesn't have a label but it feels like it's thicker than size 10. The other's are Coats Royal Classic Crochet Thread size 10 in Ocean and Burgundy.

Orsi is working on flowers again and now she has several new designs and added beads as well.

Brigitte finished the stork with his bundle, a design by Jane Eborall made in Lizbeth size 20 thread and one of her tatting buddies suggested using it for a framed birth announcement picture.

Gina has lots of little rosettes done for a friend.

Kat has another cross started but just to mix it up a bit she tatted Susan Fuller's Heart's Desire in Lizbeth size 20 Berry Burst.

Bookmarks, Motifs, Dragon, Edging and Shamrocks

Journey did Jon Yusoff's pattern for her foldover bookmark, without the foldover piece and had to do some adjustments so that she could work it in 2 colours.

Orsi has been working on another flower design but the black isn't quite the way she wants it. Done all in white it would make a pretty snowflake.

Corina tatted Anne Buvold's Norwegian flying dragon but she did a "snow dragon" to decorate this lamp shade. It's almost invisible until the light is turned on.

Sunshinecraft tatted the Kerongsang motif from Jon Yusof's Tatting with Rings in Altin Basak metallic polyester.

Barbara has tatted another pattern from Mary Konior's 'Tatting with Visual Patterns' book. This one is called Faith and it's done in Lizbeth size 20 thread in purple.

Cindy has tatted Za-Woalka Bookmark in salmon colored size 8 cotton perle and Yarnplayer's Tourmaline HDT, Size 20. It's nice to have a supply of tatted things done that you can put in a birthday card, or share with friends.

Diane received her Leafy Greens thread and started right in on the edging, which is looking lovely.

Kat tatted the Gina and Sharren's shamrocks but was enjoying herself too much to have time to post them on St Paddy's day.

Motifs, Shamrocks, Bookmarks, Butterflies, Dragonflies and Snails

Ninetta had a triple challenge with this motif designing a new pattern, finding the right tension, and using two infrequently used techniques, namely the Catherine join and folded rings. It's done in DMC 80 and the finished size is about 5.5cm wide.

Orsi has been working on a flower design, but it isn't going the way she wants it to, so she's going to give it another try.

IsDihara has uncovered a leprechaun romance in bloom and St Patrick's Day greetings are flying through the air adorned with tatted shamrocks.

Barbara has tatted my shamrock bookmark from Transitions in Tatting From Flat to Floral, a quick tat and perfect for St Patrick's Day.

Brigitte was one of several ladies attending a workshop where tatting, twilling, crochet and knitting were being demonstrated. Those who tried out tatting were allowed to select a tatted paperclip to take home and it made a great incentive to give tatting a try.

Diane has finally finished Alexandra from Tatting Patterns by Lyn Morton. She was especially happy to tat the pattern when she found out Lyn is part of her friend Geraldine's tatting group.

Fox has a beaded shamrock done for St Patrick's Day. She tatted a lovely pattern she found on line, but she isn't thrilled about the thread colour, or that fact that she stabbed herself with the hook on her shuttle. OUCH!

Isa tatted this motif from a web page with cotton thread size 20. She has done 25 motifs again finishing with this design she created, done in metal silver thread, with the center being a brooch she had.

Kathy tatted Sharren Morgan's shamrock pattern in DMC Perle Cotton Size 8, Color 909 and mounted it on a scalloped black velvet paper disc.
