Claire tatted this simple earring pattern by Jennifer Williams in Lizbeth Sea Green Dark #688, size 20.
Aysh took time to finish her flowers, but when her choice was chasing little ones or taking a good picture, the picture took second place. Nevertheless, there is a picture showing progress.
mb duke is using Lizbeth Elderberry Jam in size 20 for Jane's TIAS.
Diane has Snowflake 3 from Snowflake Roses by Denise Munoz, which was a fun tat and she likes the way it turned out. Snowflake 4 from Snowflake Roses by Denise Munoz was done in Green Coral Sea because she had misplaced her ball of white thread. and although she's not a big fan of dimpled rings, she thinks she did okay for her first try.
Fox has taken another stab at Iris Niebach's Irene pattern, this time with Sulky Blendables and some minute seed beads that needed a .4 hook. This time she escaped unscathed from the depredations of a vicious hook. Here are both pieces, the earlier one done in Altin Basak and the new one in Sulky Blendables, shown together for scale.
Kathy used Mary Konior's Maids of Honor edging and a modified Beauty Spots edging to create this one of a kind 25th Anniversary bell for her SIL who uses it on her Christmas tree every year. She shows it here with Mary's Queen of Hearts design, which she tatted in Lizbeth Vintage Harvest, size 20.
Marie used Lizbeth, size 40, Ocean Teal Dk, silver, glass seed beads, and part of the scroll design from a finding to create this pendant. After adding a foundation row, she added the tatting, incorporating the beads in the joins. The corner bookmark pattern by Nina Libin was done using size 10 crochet thread with a gold filament, for a tatting exchange.
Wanda revisiting a motif she made back in October, making a bit of a change in the outside round, using Lizbeth #670 Victorian Red in size 20. She used Lizbeth #130 Island Breeze in size 20 for her TIAS.

TIAS, Newts, Snowflakes, Christmas trees and Doilies
Claire is joining the challenge and she's beginning with Jane's newest Tat It And See TIAS using Lizbeth thread in size 20 Sea Green Dark.
Phyllis is another new member in the challenge and she has been tatting a pattern by Anne Bruvold called Netty the Newt.
Diane successfully tatted Snowflake #1 from Snowflake Roses by Denise Munoz. Although, as you can see from the side by side picture, there isn't a whole lot of difference between them. She used up thread on the shuttles to tat Ruth Perry's Tatted Christmas Tree 2013. Snowflake 2 from Snowflake Roses by Denise Munoz is very beautiful. Snowy, blowy weather resulted in an extra day off and an opportunity to start Jane's TIAS.
Fox was pleased to discover that what looked like a mistake on Irene by Iris Niebach, was just twisted tatting. She found this pattern online, which appeared in The Big Book of Tatting and she used #50 Altin Basak and #40 Lizbeth to tat it. Here's the beginning of a new Irene.
Kristen selected Forty Tulips from Ben Fikkert's Floriade to use Confetti and it's accompanying colors on. Charlie is modelling rows 1-3. Sanchai is checking out round 6. There seems to be an issue with tension as it's almost standing here. Kristen has also decided to start Jane's TIAS.
Marie has also joined the fun of Jane's TIAS and is working with a variegated crochet thread.

Flowers, Edging, Wreath, Snowflakes, Motifs, Pins and Doilies
!! NOTICE !!
It isn't necessary to start your challenge in January, but it makes a good incentive. Could you tat 25 pieces of lace before next year? Why not challenge yourself and try. We're here to cheer you on.
The Guidelines
1. Permission to copy. When a participant joins they are authorizing us to copy their pictures to be shown on the challenge blog.2. There is no need to advise the Challenge Team to let let us know when you've added things to your blog. We check all of the blogs when we do an update.
3. We can't keep track of how many motifs each person does. You may post articles of tatting that you don't plan on including in your 25, or you may post a pair of earrings and count each earring as a separate motif. We don't read minds, so it's up to each participant to tell us when they have reached their goal of 25.
4. We know from past experience that the challenge is addictive. If you finish and plan on doing it again let us know so that we continue to check your blog on a regular basis.
5. Whenever you get a chance don't just view the pictures here, take the time to click on the links to people's blogs and read all about what they are doing, instead of just getting the snippets of it here. People like it when you take the time to visit their blog and comment on their work. A lot of the fun of the challenge is that we get to know each other and encourage one another to try new things.
6. Tatting 25 motifs in a year typically means tatting 2 motifs per month. Tatters who do not post any tatting content for 5 or 6 months will be removed from the list of participants.
---------------
Aysh started a second flower, thinking it wouldn't take too long, but there was something about it that bugged her so she put it aside and changed thread colours to make lace for her daughter's bottle covers, but there wasn't enough thread on the shuttle so she's stalled again.
mb duke started this wreath pattern from Tat-man.net in Lizbeth Christmas Green size 40 with red seed beads knowing that she wouldn't get it done in time for Christmas. It took serious blocking to eliminate the ruffles after it was done. The last snowflake of the year is the lovely, Le Flocon by Frivole.
Lelia tatted this little motif in Lizbeth size 20, colour 621. The daisy motif is in Lizbeth 20 colour 615. This motif done in Lizbeth 20 colour 644 although pretty, has a mistake, so she wanted to do it again. Here it is as it should be. Here's the design from Minitats done again and she thinks this one looks better.
Nancy has posted a picture of a collection of small beaded snowflakes.
Diane was glad for Margaret's challenge, as it meant she managed to tat a lot of snowflakes in time for Christmas. Her last one was just a little doodle. She didn't have time to post the picture of her little tree before, but here it is will all of the snowflakes on it. Snowflake #1 from Snowflake Roses by Denise Munoz was really pretty, but as she blocked it she noticed some extra picots. Before re-doing it, she decided to tat her Doodad Snowflake #1 with blue beads. Hanging them on the tree she realized that a doodad might make a good substitute for the centre of Snowflake #1.
Fox has started January with a design that isn't difficult but needs concentration using Altin Basak thread. She used Sally's teal Cèbèlia and her own denim #30 to tat Harriet, designed by Kirsten Christensen. The Blomqvest and Presson pattern is tatted in Sulky, #80, with a second picture to show scale. Isn't it tiny? Irene by Iris Niebach tatted in #50 Altin Basak and #30 Cèbèlia with an unnoticed mistake.
Kristen had to tat just one more design for 2013 and used small flowers made from thread leftover on shuttles to make this motif. Not being satisfied she had to tat one more design a Ten-Pointed Snowflake from Christmas Angels and Other Patterns by Monica Hahn.
Marie doesn't remember where she found this pin for the "Jesus is the heart of Christmas" card. The tatting was done with size 20 crochet thread. Another pin found at an antique show was tatted around with Lizbeth, size 20, Azalea. This pin, found two years ago at an antique show, had tatting added using two strands of sewing thread. Lizbeth, size 20, Blue River Glades was used on this very sparkly pin.
Martha tatted the Amanda doily from Iris Niebach's book Tatted Doilies in size 30 thread and finished off another 25 motif challenge. Her challenge this time was to count only motifs from the books on her shelf, since some of them go too long without being opened. She has decided to start another challenge tatting vintage patterns from before 1925.
Orsi tatted Frivole's design, Flocon d'Or with a gold finding.
