TIAS, Motifs, Heart, Doilies, Seahorse, Cross, Edging and Ornaments,

Jane is excited to begin Jane Eborall's Tat It And See for 2013 and she's using Jess's Tat-ilicious Key Lime Raspberry Parfait.

Lelia did motif 27 from Mini Tats again, with size 20 Lizbeth thread Color 138.

Prabhjyotsaini loves this thread that she has chosen for TIAS and she's thinking of going back and doing last year's TIAS goat as well.

SunshineCraft has also chosen to join the TIAS. Susan Fuller's Heart's Desire, done in response to the Malaysian Tatters January challenge.

Linda is using size 20, variegated purples # 165 for her TIAS. Here is her Tea Cosy RR block with it's tatted embellishment. The Lace Mat, tatted with Lizbeth 152, Christmas Green Mix in size 20, is finished and she decided not to add the clovers to the top two small rings.

Ancolie has also joined Jane's TIAS for 2013.

Cindy tatted Motif #1 from the book Tatted Treasures done in brown thread with multicolored brown and blue beads. The beautiful heart in the new Jan Stawasz book, is based on the familiar Mary Konior's Queen of Hearts done in Yarnplayer's Rhubarb Pie, Size 20 thread. Cindy shows us both Mary's original heart, and Jan's variation with the cloverleaf at the bottom.

Diane tatted a Seahorse Dragon for her grandson in size 20 Spring Grass HDT from Marilee Rockley. She's using size 20 Lizbeth #165, Grape Splash for TIAS. She fell in love with this cross from Jan Stawasz's new book, Tatted Treasures which she tatted in size 20 HDT, Spring Grass.

Fox has tatted the same Jan Stawasz motif in variegated pink #40 Milford from Val. Of course she had to join this year's TIAS as well and the Honey Doily is back from it's time out. She's planning a move and found enough treasures to host a giveaway with goodies like those shown here. She was on a roll until she made the sam mistake again on this round of the Honey Doily. She started this edging several weeks ago using #40 Olympus and the thread and beads match up perfectly with the hanky.

Jess has some Starflowers tatted and this one used size 40 Watercolor Sweetheart Messy Jess!-y, with added size 20 sea-green light on the chain. The next one was done in a special colourway she did for herself. The one in Karey Solomon's HDT with 15/0 green beads around the outside.

Marie tatted a set of 15 Christmas balls in crochet thread number 20 and lots of beads before Christmas. What a simple yet elegant pattern.

Sherry found some scrapbooking paper with a tatted design on it! she shows us some of her hook pens along with a sweet tatted flower motif.

Sue is working on a doily which has inspired her, but you'll have to check back to see what the results are. She has also experimented with creating her own "confetti" thread by placing dots of colour on white thread with a marker. This starting bit is a ample of what it looks like tatted up.

Tattabugg fell on the ice and hurt her wrist, but she's still trying out Jane's TIAS.

Earrings, Snowflakes, Motifs, Letters, Hearts, Doily and Necklace

Laurie made her first pair of earrings, which are just rings and chains, although she forgot to make note of the URL where she found the pattern. They're done in Lizbeth 20 in peach light and white.

Jane thought that Frivole's  motif  tatted in  Key Lime Raspberry Parfait  HDT from Tat-ilicious would be good to try out her new shuttle. Her husband took a post style Aero into a jeweler and had him copy it.

Lelia has tatted 2 motifs from Patti Duff's Mini Tats in Size 40 Lizbeth, Color 163.

Diane has been tatting letters, a pink E, size 20 Lizbeth #621 for Eva and a purple E, size 20 Flora #64 for Ella. The pattern is by Gill Fisher and can be found in Tatting 2000: Ring of Tatters. This little motif is by Barbara Pannell, and can be found in Tatting for 2005: 25 Years of the Ring of Tatters, size 20 Flora #64.

Fox is having trouble understanding why someone would be outspoken about copyright protection and then copy Mary Konior's Queen of Hearts, which Fox did three years ago in  white and again in a variegated thread, with no other change that a cloverleaf at the tip, and publish it. She loves this Jan Stawasz design which she did in a variegated green that snowy sent her, but she omitted all but the last ring on the 3rd row. It's really hard to see until the designs are side by side.  Jane Eborall’s Fandango Button Snowflake was done with  #40 Lizbeth and a 1/2” button, although Jane's pattern calls for size 20.

Margaret is at round 4 of the tat along mat by Renulek and as you can see this is a complex round that's going to take a while.

Marie shows a pair of earrings all packaged up and ready to go with her custom made tag.

Earrings, Snowflakes, Bag, Doilies, Motifs, Heart, Pin and Necklaces

Gwen has joined the challenge again for 2013. She made 9 pairs of Marilee's earrings for Christmas gifts they were a huge hit. She has been tatting a lot of snowflakes, inspired by the tatting laden trees that we've been seeing this season. Did you count? 9 pairs of earrings and 3 snowflakes, so she's just started and she's already half way through.

Jane finished her beaded bag and liked the effect so much that she tried worked out how to do it flat rather than circular to create a beaded monogram. Since the rows of beads are staggered in didn't work out as anticipated, but an abstract design does.

Marta is back at it with this piece in blue and greens and tied on both ends.

Diane continues to tat snowflakes with her Doodad Snowflake #5 in size 20 Lizbeth, Snow White an blue seed beads received from Michelle.

Fox tried to take her thumb off with a knife hiding under the soap suds and still managed to tat this Edwige Renaudin Design in #8 Finca Perle. A most horrible thing happened to the Honey Napkin, a mistake discovered, 2 rows back resulted in more amputation. Here's a small motif from the new Jan Stawasz book using Lizbeth size 40 and something left over that was larger.

Isdihara received this exquisite heart which was a gift from JB. The Tat Along lace mat is pictured here with a lovely soft pale purple pashmina. The Love of Beads heart by Martha Ess is tatted in Flora 20 red with matching seed beads.

Jess tatted her Starflower design in Watercolor Sweetheart HDT, one of her new colours. Here's a collection of them in Livi's Ballet Shoes HDT, Azalea Md, and Turquoise Lt.

Marie made some modifications to Kelly's design to create these earrings in Lizbeth, size 20, raspberry lt to match the cat pendant as a gift for her sister.

Mica has had Jon Yusoff's Tatted Snowflakes Collection for a long time before she decided to tat from it and this is the first snowflake in the book.

Michelle tatted Wanda Salmans' Christmas snowflake 2010, in Lizbeth Blue Ice, size 20. This heart bookmark is another of Wanda's designs.

Sue tatted Marilee's Beguile Necklace from the Up and Tat 'Em book as a gift, although she used her own colour scheme.

Wanda has decided that her pattern for Joy's Heart is workable and has now posted the pattern for it.
