Heart, Snowflakes, Motifs and Edging

Hattalahutta ordered the Tatsy shuttle online and found out it was huge when it arrived. Big shuttles hold a lot of thread, but I get a cramp in my hand using them so I'd rather use a more comfortable shuttle and add thread when I need it. There's a how to add thread post on my blog if anyone is interested. She started a heart from Mary Konior's Tatting with Visual Patterns but only had one shuttle with her when she started and after repeated shoelace ties, it doesn't want to lay flat.

Lily has finished her 25 and is starting again. She has the Merry Christmas Snowflake on the go in Hakelgarn Size 50 Faeries HDT by Sherry paired with silver lined clear glass seed beads. Her next design is a mystery being tatted in Sherry's 'Neapolitan' HDT.

Carolyn finished off the last of an unknown thread tatting a pattern from Motifs for Marie
by Kaye B. Judt.
IsDihara has been tatting with size 40 Lizbeth #154 Wildflower Garden to make Jon Yusoff's Magic Moment Snowflake. Just for fun she shows us that when it's wrapped around a purple satin egg it looks a lot like a baby eggplant.

Ancolie tatted "Picot Lace Trim" to make a simple but sophisticated border on this hanky.

Fox has finished her 25 motifs and once again started over. Her sister flew into town bringing with her a quilt and some Valdani thread for Fox, with the suggestion that she whip up some motifs in the thread so her sister could see how they tatted up. Fox decided she would also give her a slightly larger motif in roll tatting. Motif by Wally and thread Coron 40, courtesy of Suneeti.

Marty decided on a whim to use fingernail polish to paint on her Aero shuttle. In a house full of girls there are lots of colours to choose from.
