Bookmarks, Snowflakes, Doilies, Crosses and Doodles

Lilas hasn't made a bookmark for quite some time and she really enjoyed making this one with the long crossed picots.

Carrie's very wonderful hubby ordered her lots of tatting books for Christmas and when they arrived she didn't know where to start, but finally settled on the Celtic Tatting book and began at the beginning, completing the Celtic Snowflake in Aunt Lydia's size 10 white.

Diane's students have come up with interesting storage solutions for their tatting like jewelry bags and decorative boxes like stars, hearts, and mini-suitcases. They're so enthusiastic and they just keep tatting. The kids love picots and tie-dye colours. Madison designed this "diamond" ring. Diane's going to miss the pictures of hands on her desk showing off tatting milestones, when school's out for summer. Kate turned one of her prizes into a necklace, using Lizbeth Twirlz for the chain. Now that Carter has caught on to Fancy Pants, there's no stopping him and he loves making picots, so yesterday he asked Diane to show him how to tat rings.

Fox agonized over what colour to use next on Renulek's doily row 9, but in the end, yellow was an obvious choice. Fox and Umintsuru are taking the Kurbatskaya Challenge. Fox is using some #40 Karey Solomon HDT and some white crochet thread she discovered. Adjusting the pattern for some of the changes she has made may make this even more of a challenge.

Sue tatted the Santa Fe Cross by Pam McCormack from the book Tatted Bookmarks Needle & Shuttle edited by Barbara Foster in size 40 Lizbeth Lilac Med. The Tatted Cross by Dee Powell from the same book is worked in size 40 Lizbeth Lime Green Med.

Wanda discovered a box of goodies she has put away while cleaning up and found some note cards she made probably twenty years ago.  They are large, unlined index cards about 5" by 8" folded in half and the tatted doodles were done in DMC size 8 in various colors. Unique and original designs that a recipient is sure to enjoy.

Hi Sharon I have been busy tatting, but I have also been away in New Zealand and since our return have been unwell. Hope to post more images on my blog soon. The bookmark on my blog is the second of the 25 challenge.
Regards Dawn

Hello Sharon

I noticed a new page uploaded to this site 2 days back. However, whenever I click here, there is a notification that the page does not exist ? Has the post been scrapped?

Thanks
