Dragons Edgings, Seahorse, Lady, Doily, Snowflakes, Motifs and Bookmarks

Tats saved the last skein of Krystledawn's Mad Science HDT for a special project, but sadly there was only enough to do half of Jon Yusoff's Merriment Doily, so now she's wondering what to do.

Marie is tatting more dragons, one in Lizbeth, size 20, Autumn Spice and Leaf Green Med and one in Lizbeth, size 20, Vineyard Harvest.

Julie shares more of her grandmother's tatting. The green tatting may be an edging for an incomplete centre or it might have been intended as a collar. This other piece was attached to something and was removed to be re-purposed.

Nancy tatted Debbie Arnold's seahorse, with Anne Bruvold's added wings to create the dragon.

Linda added Martha Ess's Miss Caroline, the Crinoline Belle, to a quilt block under an silk ribbon rose arbor.

Ancolie finished tatting up a pair of patterns from Pascale Provost, a French lacemaker, in two different colours.

Diane used size 20 Lizbeth, Christmas Delight to tat around this doodad and since it has six sides, it's a snowflake. The next one looks even more like a snowflake and Diane is beginning to feel like a designer.

Fox is going through a de-stashing process for anyone who is looking for some hand me downs. She's working on Karey Solomon's Chinoiserie and having trouble with it. Here it is finished Chinoiserie from
Making Many Merrily by Karey Solomon in size 40 Lizbeth.

Isdihara tatted this fearsome Hideous Zippleback in Lizbeth size 40 #164, Blue River Glades and #167 Jungle Greens using interlocking rings in a technique of Jane from South Africa. The snout of one came apart as she was doing the second head, but eventually it was completed, wings and all.

Sue tatted 2 small crosses from Mary Konior's Tatting with Visual Patterns in size 10 navy thread.

Wanda's response to Diane's doodad challenge is this beautiful beaded bauble. The first try is made in Lizbeth #662, Turquoise Lt in size 20 with matching seed beads and the second is Lizbeth #638, Christmas Green and silver seed beads.
