Angels, Bookmarks, Butterflies, Snowflakes and Edgings

Viv mounted the cross she did in a display box and she's not sure about the medallion, but the box is a project for a student who is leaving the area.
IsDihara will use Heidi Sunday's Pumpkin Vine Edging in her a Knot-Tea Parody contest GIVEAWAY. Check her blog for rules. Brigitte, in spite of fierce competition, came home with the ribbons for her fair entries. Chiara has tatted Angel Pam a design by Ellen Lai in DMC and perlè cotton n8 in variegated light blue. The bookmark is "Spring Flowers" by Julie Patterson tatted in DMC perlè cotton 8 in solid light green for the leaves and with DMC moulinè "color variations" using 3 strands for the flowers.Wanda tatted "Sophie" designed by Lyn Morton in DMC Perle Cotton, color 115, size 8. The InTatters Challenge for October is to tat using a thread that you have in your stash that you don't like, or don't use. The coral Knit Cro Sheen size 10 was the thread that Wanda chose for the challenge. Mrs John has found that ranch activities during the summer didn't leave much time to tat. She has made another foray into dyeing her own thread because she couldn't find exactly what she wanted, but used the thread for crochet rather than tatting. She has discovered that a zippered lunch bag makes an ideal tatting bag with room for scissors, pattern, project and moist towelettes to keep her hands clean.

Heather's book Tatted Earrings and Things is now available. For tatting Tea Tuesday Heather chose to tat one of Sherry's butterflies. Maria has tatted a very pretty snowflake designed by Lisa Trumble in size 20 Valdani thread.

Wally tatted Marilee Rockley's butterfly pattern from her book "Tatting Boutique" using "Vibrato" HDT also by Marilee. The glass beads are in shades of purple and peacock blue and perfectly compliment the thread.
