Earrings, Bookmarks, Motifs and Hummingbirds

Nami has seen tatting combined with crochet, so she decided to try it with these flower earrings. The black tatted flower was edged in silver crochet for a lovely effect. Kat is playing catch up beginning with Yarn Player's Eternal Cross needle tatted in Lizbeth Purple Splendor and white. Jane Eborall's Mini button flower was made into a hair bow. Mary Konior's Babylace edging is being tatted for the little one's skirt.
Agasunset is helping to raise funds for a playground in India and she is considering giving the profits from one of her pieces, but she's looking for suggestions on how to promote it to get the most benefit from it. Check her blog for details of the raffle she is holding. Ann selected Patchwork from chose Tatting With Visual Patterns by Mary Konior as the pattern she wanted to work on while on vacation. Unfortunately she made a mistake and didn't notice it until it was too late to retro tat and fix it. So instead she practiced roll tatting with Mary Konior's Lupins edging which she found more difficult to control than making a cluny loom.
DesertSonnet tatted these out of a variegated purple and white thread and the color bisection was accidental, but she likes it. Three seed beads on the bottom of each earring add some weight to keep them from flopping around and she now has plans to make more.
Aileen tatted another of Jane Eborall's Flowery SCMR bookmark, this time in size 50 Omega, one solid and one variegated. The first bookmark done in size 20 is also shown for comparison.

Martha used the thread received from Fox in the thread exchange to tat these hummingbirds from her upcoming book. There was more that 12 yards on the floss winder, so she actually made a third hummingbird but it seems to have taken flight.

Mica tatted Day 17 from 24 Snowflakes in Tatting by Bjørn, which she did in 1 round making all the center rings split rings in 1 strand of DMC metallic floss.
