Tats has joined the challenge. Her current WIP is a Piece where she is just tatting wherever her fancy takes her using Lizbeth Butterfly Breeze in size 20.
BSOTF tatted a diamond in red Aunt Lydia's thread & JP Coats white. Marta has tatted some small themes for summer. A butterfly by Iris, a turquoise square and Teri's pineapple butterfly wing.
Kat has tatted a bright red letter A size 20 Victorian Red Lizbeth following the formula given on Il Chiacchierino Edda Guastalla Bianchetti and it came out almost 3x5 inches. She was thinking of tatting a last name as a wedding gift, but that's a little too big to frame. She found a clasp for her bracelet, but it's too large for her wrist and she has plans to give it away. Mary Konior's glass mat spinning wheel is her recent WIP done in Lizbeth size 20 Country Turquoise Medium.
Catherine tatted the circle in a square motif designed by Rozella F. Linden the pattern is in her book "Easy Tatting" in size 10 ecru Cebelia. A re-do of Jon Yusof's foldover bookmark was done in Lizbeth Vineyard Harvest. She didn't have any patterns with her and just started re-tatting this book mark cross from Rebecca Jones' book "Complete book of tatting" Cebelia size 80. The Entertainment Doily by Celtess is done in size 20 Lizbeth Jellybean. Corina prepared a basket of handcrafted goodies to welcome the new baby which includes a cloth pouch embellished with a tatted motif.
Sue is making progress on her tatted blizzard including Ice Crystal Snowflake by Saundra Hameed, Threes Snowflake by Jeanne Lugert, Snowflake on a Paper Clip by Ellen Lai and Hearts in a Snowflake by Jon Yusoff which didn't work out like she hoped it would. All of these were tatted in size 10 thread. Agasunset got to meet up with Fox and trade lacy gifts. Fox got a navy bracelet and she got a 3D tatted flower and a motif tatted around a ring, which she promptly put on her pink flash drive so the boys will leave it alone. She tatted her own version of the 3D flower and added a row of split ring making them perfect for wearing with sandals. She also tried out 2 versions of another anklet. This black choker with the blood red stone has very Goth look.
Ann is working on Anniversary by Mary Konior, from Tatting With Visual Patterns as an edging for a baby doll nighty.
SunshineCrafts tatted Jane Eborall's elegant bookmark with buttons, done in DMC Cebelia 20.
Katherinne's mother showed her the lovely laces made by her great grandmother including some fine thread edgings for handkerchiefs and some wide tatted borders for cloth circles that are fragile with age. She hopes to be able to remake these designs some time in the future.
IsDihara had a paisley motif in mind and drew out a sketch of what she wanted. The tatted version is coming out looking quite leafy, but got stalled in the middle so that she could tat Mar Konior's glass mat in Heather's Bali HDT in size 50.
Steph thinks this is the last test tat for Martha. It's a very clever fox in block tatting.
Wanda has finished the hat band and attached it to the hat and it looks just the way she thought it would.
Alan has gained Totus Mel's permission to tat her Victoriana pendant in wire.
Diane is working on an edging for a hanky for her youngest daughter who is getting married in August.
Fox had a recent trip to New York where she got to see the socks with the tatted edging in use. She met up with Agasunset who was wearing a lovely tatted necklace and gave her a tatted bracelet and some lessons in needle tatting so that she was ables to needle tat her own version. She got some orange and yellow Alton Basak #50 thread through The Thread Exchange and tatted a pattern from A New Approach to Tatting by Yusai Shokoin on the plane. She also managed to finish this motif with beads, and another covered ring and her cluny leaves are improving. That's a lot of tatting for not having any tatting time on the trip. She returned home to find she was the recipient of one of Martha's adorable tatted foxes.
