Butterfly, Dragon, Mushroom and Daffodils

Vanessa tatted this flutterby from Rebecca Jones' book The Complete book of tatting which looks a little fatter partly due to the fact that it has eaten more than the flutterby in the book and partly because it has been 'blocked' differently.

IsDihara has created a motif that is a study in negative space using Lizbeth size 20 cotton thread in the color Mocha Brown Medium. It measures seven (7) inches across. It isn't quite what the lesson called for, but it sure is pretty. Jeanne is going to give away a hand made shuttle that she doesn't feel comfortable using to a random commenter to her post. Aileen has done what she thinks is her first satisfactory mushroom design.

Anne wants us to say hello to her new dragon, a Chinese dragon. The pattern will be available as soon as she has added the photos needed. Jeff is test-tatting for Linda Davies. This is the Daffodil with a couple of photos of the finished pieces. Maria is on her 3rd set of 25 motifs. She tatted this motif designed by Eliz Davis, then a design from free patterns on the web that she adapted and added beads to for a quilt. The latest is a butterfly of her own design.
TattingChic has posted a sneak peak of some pink tatting.

Snowflakes, Mushrooms, Bookmark and Cat

Ladydoc has nearly finished this bookmark, and she's scoured the internet for patterns she can practice on during her trip.

Linda received a blue ribbon for this kitty cat which is a Jane Eborall pattern, and following Jane's instructions for added a bead in the ring, the eyes are perfect.

Steph tatted these patterns for her rainbow tree from Tatting by Myra Piper. The flake done in white/Coral Reef is size 40 while the rest are size 80.

Ancolie loves the way the colour gradually becomes lighter and dark in these motifs.

Carol's neice picked out the colors, Navy, Variegated Pink and White to make Jane Eborall's Lotus Flower.

Heather tatted these mushrooms and includes the pattern on her blog. The bottom one was done in size 30 thread with beads which she's not sure she likes. The necklace is another design she worked on which is twisted in a celtic like effect. The pattern is also shown on her blog.

Jeff took some time away with family and managed to get a little tatting done. Ring A Ring 'O Roses Snowflake by Mary Konior in DMC Cordonnet size 30 thread which measures about 3 1/2 inches tip to tip. Magic Moments snowflake designed by Jon Yusoff was tatted in Lizbeth size 20 thread in colour # 116 Christmas Delight and it measures slightly over 4 1/2 inches across.

Pincushion Doily, Earrings and bookmarks

Vanessa created a pincushion from rolled up strips of material covered in black velvet, then she used a pattern derived from an old DMC publication; Tatting for Today worked in size 2o variegated Coats thread to embellish it.
IsDihara has posted this patriotic bookmark which still needs a fringe. She also posted some pictures of the winning tatting she saw at the fair.
Linda has tatted the Clover Leaf Doily by Linda Davies and earrings by Nancy at Bestitched
Krystledawn has repurposed a diaper caddy to use for her tatting supplies. Now she has a place for everything and everything in it's place whan she need to pick up and go.

Charlotte tatted the Marilee's Celtic Knot Shamrock using her Leafy HDT. Ancolie has tatted a lovely border in DMC variegated thread size 80. Then she did a buttercup and a daisy. Wanda has been tatting paperclip bookmarks too and finds that they are perfect for when you don't have a lot of time because they are quick to make.

Bonnie has tatted a collection of Ellen's paperclip bookmarks, and realized after she'd done a few baskets that they look better with fewer flowers.
Diane received new shuttle and thread from Sherry and she had to try them out. Here is Flower 5 from Projects in Tatting by Sheila York done in Sherry's size 20 Confetti Sprinkles.
Heather has posted a slide show of the designs in her upcoming book.
