Snowman, Angels, Bell, Ornaments, Snowflakes, Wheel Barrow, Edging, Teapot, Doilies, Earrings, Motifs and Bracelet

Batty Tatter made the snowman and angel as gifts for friends the snowman's hat is one of Jane Eborall's patterns. She saw the bow and bells online and couldn't wait to give them to a friend.

Melanie realized that she has too few ornaments and she's been working her way through the patterns in Nadine Nunelly's book. She's been enjoying seeing how the lace behaves as she attaches it to the ball and knows that the people she gifts them to will enjoy them for years to come.

Julie tatted Eclipse snowflake from Robin Perfetti is size 30 HDT from Yarnplayer.

Linda used a tatted wheelbarrow filled with silk ribbon flowers and an embroidered butterfly in a mixed techniques block.

Grace used Rainbow Taffy Lizbeth thread size 40 Rainbow Taffy to tat this Kersti Anear pattern. She found this collar the Museum of the Confederacy, a sample of the lace women smuggled North to sell because there was no money in the South. This is a tea towel with a cross stitch band where she sewed on a teapot from Pam Palmer's book Tatting Treats 3 and Anne Bruvold's Square Star using size 12 Sulky Blendables. This lovely vintage star doily pattern is from a 50's Workbasket which she tatted in Lizbeth size 40 Rainbow Taffy with coordinating green thread. Another Square Star earring set she made this summer also in Sulky Blendables size 12. She found this amazing blended thread, cotton with a metallic twist, size 10 Garden Metallic by Nazli Gelin, which she used to tat the left snowflake from Lene Bjorn's book 24 Snowflakes and the star on the right is from Monica Hahn's book. Due to a repetitive motion injury she won't be tatting anymore of Lene's snowflake for a while, so she's keeping this one which is hard to photograph to show the sparkle. Both  of these next snowflakes are from Jennifer Williams' snowflake book with the yellow/gold snowflake done in Aunt Lydia's size 10 gold with a metallic twist in it, and the blue one is the Garden Metallic with a silver twist. The following pattern is from Lene Bjorn's snowflake book and the thread is size 60 Sunlight Oro from Edda Guastalla's shop in Italy

Diane finished the third section of the last round of my Jan Stawasz Masterpiece which means only seven more to go. She's very happy that she has managed to tat around four of the ten motifs. She's now half way around and it looks like it won't be finished by Christmas, but soon.

Fox has completed about half the border for the hankie, in just a few days, as opposed to the months that the hedgehog was taking to tat. She contacted Lea to buy 2 more skeins, both in #50, which she used for the previous hankie. She downloaded a pattern from a Russian site which looks suspiciously like a Jan Stawasz design with fuzzy numbers, but she has filled in the numbers according to her understanding and hopes that she has enough thread to work it. Here's the design tatted with Karey's #40 HDT and DMC #60.

Jenn tatted this ornament pattern called Tree Decoration by Jennifer Williams in Lizbeth #20 white thread and with 1 cm long silver beads, omitting the outer beads. This pattern is called Ring of Heart Pendant and is available for free at Elaine P Gan's store. Test tatting snowflakes again for Elaine P Gan and these two snowflakes are called First Snowflake and Floral Snowflake. Starry Snowflake by Elaine P Gan was tatted in Lizbeth #20 white thread.

Lilas created a classic bracelet pattern which is simple, classic and elegant.

Margaret went for angels for her December challenge and tatted Sharren's Angel from Tatting with Sharren blogspot. Next she used two angels off a pattern sheet that was posted on pinterest on a page that has the name Patrieia Pirocca 14.4.24 on the page, but only one of them worked out nicely.

Marie added some tatting to the zipper pull on a bag she got at the craft show. She named these earrings Arctic for their icy colouring. She did an exchange with Hudy, from the Needle Tatting Forum and shows the goodies she received. These Mossy earrings were tatted around old clip earrings. An old single clip earring was tatted around to make a Rosey pendant.

Muskaan has created her Sparkle snowflake and uploaded the pattern for others to try. She has posted step by step instructions for how she tatted Eleonore Endrucks Li’l Angel with a variation for a 3D halo.
Sometimes variations of existing patterns just seem to pop out while you're working on them.

Stephanie has been tatting but not taking pictures. She did get pictures of these 15 pairs of BEANILE Lace earrings which are intended as Christmas gifts.

Sue did quick test tat, again for Elaine P. Gan. Another Elaine P. Gan design is tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Boysenberry Dk. with silver beads. Another Elaine P. Gan design done in size 40 Lizbeth Blue Ice with little clear beads. The navy and white doily she was working on is done and ready for blocking.

Necklaces, Earrings, Doilies, Edging, Butterflies, Bracelet, Wheel Barrow, Dreamcatcher and Motifs

Cigdem modified the pattern by Mrs. W. M. Odum, called Tatted Daisy to created this necklace worked in a high quality mercerized cotton in variegated red with red seed beads.

mb duke used Perfect Quilter thread to whip up this pair of earrings using a pattern called "Mirror" from Jan Stawasz's Tatted Treasures. She also attempted to make the "Tiny Square Teapot" from Martha Ess' Tea is for Tatting, but missed a join and then skipped a line in the pattern and decided to call it quits.

Laurie is declaring this doily finished because she's run out of time and is just plain tired of working on it. Sometimes, with larger projects, you just run out of enthusiasm before a project is done and it's OK to give yourself permission to quit and move on to something you'll enjoy more.

Jane suggested making mock rings so that the beads can be kept on the ball thread, then tried it to see how it works. It does work as you can see from her trial of Frivole's Christmas Tree edging in red and it is easier than fussing with beads on a shuttle. She's tatting Frivole's Christmas Tree Edging to go around the neck of a blouse. The blouse was originally white muslin, but she always planned to use the same dyes  in the thread to dye the fabric and she's pleased with how it turned out.

Lelia has tatted oodles of doodles, most of which she gives away.

Jessica finished her entry for the fair, but missed the registration date for this year so she has a year to sew something to the centre of this piece done in size 20 thread.

Marta's holidays were short and intense and she wasn't prepared. Now that she's back here's another necklace she finished. The bracelet is reminiscent of sandy beaches and white pebbles.

Linda has her tatted wheelbarrow filled with silk ribbon flowers, and accented by an embroidered bunny and dimensional daisies.

Diane managed to join a ring to the wrong place and closed it before she noticed her mistake. With some threads that would have been a problem, but the Perfect Quilter thread was easy to undo. She had a wonderful surprise in the mail today, a sun catcher and a thread sample from Sue.

Fox had her Pine Plains Picot pattern test tatted by Marta and this is the results, both front and back. This is the largest piece Fox has done with size 80 thread, which she transitioned to Perfect Quilter. There are many mistakes as a result of changing her tatting style, but she's enjoying how things are going. The new style is even working out on the Trellis pattern making it easy and fast. She's glad she decided to scale back the pattern, as this is a perfect size for her working in Cebelia size 30. This is a good size to get the benefit of the pattern, without the large size.

Jess is finally moved and back to dying threads. Her new colourway is Birds of a Feather paired here with Lizbeth's Gold.

Marie received a package from Manisha, her exchange partner, that included several pairs of tatted earrings. A pair of goldstone cabochons surrounded with tatting in two strands of Sulky, gold thread. A pair of Spencer opal cabochons, from Spencer, Idaho were paired with two strands of Sulky, gold metallic thread for these earrings.

Martha tatted "Cintamani" from Jon Yusoff's Elegant Tatting Gems which she worked in size 80 thread by Anchor.

Sherry not only won first at the fair, with her Empress headpiece, she also won Best of Show.

Sue has done a tutorial of how she makes her dreamcatchers from wrapping the hoop to adding on the feather charms. Check out her blog for full details.

Wanda finished the wedding gift, using an unfinished frame with an opening of 5"x 7" from Michael's that she painted black. The edging is made with Lizbeth #646 Purple Iris Lt size 20, with silver beads which perfectly matched the bride's colours of lavender and silver.
