Jane has Day 6 of TIAS done. Her next personal challenge was Maltese rings using instructions by Martha Ess. Then she added beads and created sunflowers. Day 7 of TIAS and Martha's Gloria bookmark. The sunflower was so striking she was asked for the pattern which she has posted on her blog.
Linda has Day 5 and 6 of TIAS completed.
Ancolie used red, yellow and variegated DMC Lace threads size 80 to tat Jon Yusoff's Johar pattern.
Bree has been very ill but she did manage to tat these 2 smaller snowflakes in size 20, Lizbeth snow white with little blue beads.
Cindy found Day 6 or TIAS was good split ring practice, and had her fumbling with the correct way to join.
Diane decided that she wasn't in the mood for complex, so she's working on a Hen and Chick edging in size 70 Coats & Clark that will probably go on a hanky. Spinning Wheel in Tatskool's Raspberry Sorbet is growing. Day 7 of TIAS was all that she had energy for.
Fox has no idea how Jan Stawasz made this pattern into a cap. She is using finer #8 Finca Perle for the purple instead of the size 10 the pattern calls for and increased the stitch count to keep it from cupping. These are not the colours she would have chosen, but it's what her granddaughter likes. The cap, or rather the table mat that it has now become, progresses. She is not fond of those petal-like edges, like the ones on the cap and the Renulek pattern, so she plans to select a design she does like for the edging. The fun tat of course, is Day 6 of TIAS. Back to the size 10 thread which is wreaking havoc with her hands, but looking oh so pretty. Don't you love the JK s along the edge? Day 7 of TIAS is complete.
IsDihara has day 6 of TIAS done with some interesting ideas of what it might be. Day 7 has her thinking of rubber baby buggy bumpers.
Jess played with her starflower pattern adding block tatting to it. Then she tried out another design, although she ran out of thread on it. The mail produced a package from Umintsuru with some delightful tatting and condolences for their departed pet.
Margaret has been saddened by deaths in her family, but was cheered by an exchange package received in the mail. Her exchange partner tatted a design around a doodad brooch and sent a second design from the book Elegant Tatting Designs by Jon, which she calls a sun flake without the picots, both of which were tatted in Lizbeth Honey Drizzle.
Marie tatted one of Jane's wonderful patterns in size 40, hand dyed by Tattalittle from In Tatters. The pendent was done in Lizbeth, size 20, Blue River Glades. Another pendant which she has named, Misty Pendent, was done in the same thread. She used size 30 crochet cotton and the lily findings to create Lily Pad earrings.
Orsi has a bright colourful pendant tatted with turquoise blue beads.
Wanda is still tatting hearts, but she thought that the inclusion of a finding in the centre would make for an interesting design. This pair are tatted in Lizbeth #644 Boysenberry dark size 20. Then she tried a pair in Lizbeth #123 Grape Pizzaz in size 20. She has completed Day 6 of TIAS in Lizbeth #131 Vineyard Harvest size 20, but has no idea what it is.
