Snowflake, Edgings and Baby Bonnet

Carolyn tatted Snowflake 4 Festive Snowflakes and Ornaments edited by Barbara Foster unknown size 30 thread. It isn't her favourite snowflake because it lacks structure and it's flimsy.
Ann tatted edging #83 from The Tatted Artistry of Teiko Fujito and added it to this charming doll's pillow with a few embroidered embellishments. What little girl wouldn't love to tuck her doll into bed with this?
Fox, after much perseverance has managed to pull this recalcitrant bonnet into shape. And what a gorgeous bonnet it is The little touches of colour really make it sing.

Did you know that vintage patterns often make baby bonnets much too small for a modern baby? Even using the exact thread called for in the pattern, the resulting bonnet will fit a large orange. It's true that babies are getting bigger. Grapefruit, honey dew or other small melons make ideal blocking sizes and shapes for baby bonnets. Just some useful bits of information.
M tatted Queen's Garter from A Pattern Book Of Tatting by Mary Konior in Lizbeth size 40, col 690, mocha brown light.
