Marie made the shuttle box from Dianna Stevens book, "It's in the Bag!" and decorated it with size 30 crochet thread, gold and blue 6/0 beads, larger blue beads, and opalite beads. There's tatting on the front, back and bottom attached with Tacky Glue and it's big enough to hold size 12 pearl cotton thread, two shuttles and a doily.
Frivole thought that the quatrain motif would make a lovely edging across the top of her piano, but then she realized it would cover over the music unless it was done in a much finer thread, which of course would take muck longer to tat. She re-did the Butterflies edging in white and it looks so pretty. The peacock from the same book seems to have a mistake in the pattern, or her translation of the German is wrong because after this point it doesn't seem to work, so she may just wing it and tat what she sees rather than what's written.
Jess created this motif and shares the pattern on her blog. The Dahlia pattern is almost completed, but the threads seem to have taken a walk along with her tatting bag.
Heather's students from the Citizen Schools are making chains with picots and rings and for those still struggling she showed them how to needle tat.
Linda has one side of the CQ pocket book done with lots of tatted embellishments, like leaves and butterflies and edgings and motifs.
Diane is enjoying tatting with the Sulky blendables and matching them with her shuttles, as it's giving her an opportunity to do a photo journal of her work and her shuttle collection. The next two shuttles are SewMates loaded with size 20 Lizbeth, so I decided to tat Stumpy with them. There's quite a difference in the size. She started the Oval Doily from A New Twist on Tatting and she found that tatting it with two colours of size 20 Lizbeth, #670 and #685, helped her keep track of what she was doing.
Marty tatted two pendants in Oren Bayan variegated gold metallic and size 15 glass seed beads using patterns from Jon Yusoff's Tatting with Rings as a gift for a business associate to give to his girlfriend.
Wanda tatted this Easter Egg for a challenge on Intatters a couple of years ago and thought she'd do it again in Lizbeth #115 Springtime, size 20.
