Claudia just started her second challenge round, and here she is finished again with 2 of Ellen Lai's lovely paperclip angels tatted in DMC perle size 8 and 2 little snowflakes, in variegated DMC perle cotton size 8.
Marta has proved that you can tat around the neck in 80 days. So this collar which was begun in October is finished before Christmas.
Orsi saw this design being done on some of the other challenge blogs and she had to try it for herself. It looks lovely mounted on a hand made paper postcard.
Kat used the letters, apple and bunny to decorate a child's fabric book. Laura Bobay's wreath was tatted in Lizbeth 20 leaf green medium and clears beads and given to neighbours and Birgit Phelps' heart tatted in size 20 Christmas delight will go into next year's cards. The Easy Tatted Cross posted at In-Tatters by xstchntat was done in Autumn Spice, Leafy Green, Spring Garden, Caribbean and Tropical Punch. the necklace pendants are tatted in size 20 in Lizbeth Vineyard Harvest and black and size 40 Lizbeth Turquoise Twist.
Corina cleaned up her craft room and found a motif that she doesn't even remember tatting let along what thread was used, but now that it's found it can go on the Christmas tree along with Birgit Phelps Celtic heart tatted in white Altin Basak 50 with a gold filament and an unknown white thread. For Christmas there is a wee angel with tatted wings.
Sharon had such fun tatting the ornament from a pattern and kit by Debbie Arnold that she ordered several more kits.
Sunshinecraft saw Mary's modified version of Jon's Melati pattern turned into earrings and that inspired her to use 3 of the design done in DMC 80 tatting cotton on a 1.5 cm ring and mount them on a ribbon to make a choker. Now that she has them done she's having trouble deciding whether to mount them on green or on black.
Bonnie tatted Miranda's Angels in the Snow for a tatting exchange. She has been tatting lots and lots of little stars.... And they're going on cleverly made Christmas cards.
BSOTF shows us a unique and practical way to show off your tatting, but inserting it inside the thermos glass. It has the added benefit of distinguishing your glass from everyone else's.
Cindy has Christmas snowflakes to show.
Diane received a surprise tatted gingerbread house from Carol. She also received Jane's wonderful magnetic butterfly bookmark. She's working on an edging from The Craft of Tatting by Bessie M. Attenborough that will go on a wonderful linen hanky she won on ebay. The bookmark was one she started when someone on InTatters was having trouble understanding the pattern and she wanted to see if she could do it. It's being tatted in what she thinks is size 40 Lizbeth, color #116, but she's not sure because she lost the tag.
Fox tatted a small Myra Piper design using lots of bead and size 80 thread. The colours are lovely, although they do seem to overpower this wee motif. The charming beaded tree is one of Sue Fuller's designs just like the familiar Hearts Desire and the good news is that there are plans for a reprint of her book. The Celtic cross is Ruth Perry's design tatted in Olympus size 20.
Kathy shows the interior of her Victorian doll house with all of it's tatted accessories.
Lily has mounted Jeff's Sine Wave star on a jewellery finding and added a flower-shaped crystal bead to hold it in place.
Martha admits that this didn't start out as a Christmas pattern, but the colours worked together so well to create a wonderful Christmas teapot and the pattern will be in a future Tatting Times.
Sue started this snowflake, but wasn't quite sure how to make it until she learned how to work with ring only tatting. This one is made in size 10 thread and is about 6 inches across and looks lovely on these fancy hangers.
