Motifs, Bookmarks and Fair Entries

Bree has discovered that tatting is tough stuff. Even though it was put away, it was found, played with, tangled together with everything the cat dragged in and left as a mess. After separating it from all of the other bits of stuff, here it is, ready to be finished.

Sue tried tatting on a ring making Melati from Jon Yusoff's Tatting with Rings in Caribbean size 20 Lizbeth thread.

Diane tatted the Wave bookmark by Sandy Scales and decided to do it again in Sulky 30 wt. Blendables, color #4004 and the whole things is only 3.5 inched long.

Martha came home from the fair with five blue and two red ribbons, not all for tatting. Her "item decorated with tatting" was the lovely hanky which won a blue. Elgiva Nicholl's heart entered under "Needlework, any other", and the Workbasket Crinoline Lady as "Needlework, picture" both won red. She entered one of her button necklace sets under "Jewelry, miscellaneous". Her angel from Ineke Kuperij's Nativity book won blue for "Decorations, Christmas tree".

Wally was making an 8 petal motif by Elisa du Sud but she got caught up in watching a movie and missed a couple of petals.
