Bookmarks, Earrings and Motifs

Catherine tatted a cross bookmark in size 10 Cebelia thread from "The Complete Book of Tatting" by Rebecca Jones. It still needs blocking but it looks lovely. Sue just bought Mary Konior's book and she's already been tatting from it. She started this motif in size 10 pastel, but scrapped it in favour of LadyShuttleMaker's HDT Tulips size 20.

Agasunset shows us a new wristlet design.
Paula hasn't posted for a while so she's playing catch up. The hanky with the tatted corner and edging were a gift from a friend. The bookmarks on the left is Delphinium from Karey Solomon's book "Tatting By The Book" and the one on the right is Gina Butler's pattern before the correction was posted. Then there are the class projects from Shuttlebird's workshop. "Getting to here from there" taught by Jessica Spaulding included four different methods of chaining then they chose a finding and started their own project. Paula made a bookmark with the bead on one end. The "Pop/Water Bottle Skirt", was taught by Cheryl Birch and included split chain and split ring with mock picot, and adding beads to a long picot in this project. "Gwen's Angel" was taught by Sherry Pence and it used folded rings and folded split rings. Paula managed to find a copy of "A Pattern Book of Tatting" and it arrived this past weekend with two tatted pieces inside. The 2 colourful pieces at the end were a thank you that Jon sent her.

Vinnie and her niece went on a little road trip for some fun and found some wholesalers with threads and beads. From the looks of it they bought out the shop. Vinnie's starry eyed response to all this glitter is an wonderful star within star design.

Alan is still fighting off an infection and having time on his hands he's been scouring ebay looking for gem stones to add the his silver tatting. Silver wire earrings with 6mm onyx beads and another pair with 2mm amethyst beads. Lots of enchanting designs in real silver in his Etsy shop. Diane used size 20 Rainbow Sherbet HDT from LadyShuttleMaker to make Jon's Folded Bookmark. The minor error was due to thinking about other things while tatting.
Fox found "Small Heart" by Jennifer Williams a fun tat. It was tatted in the same Karey Solomon thread as her previous piece with tiny, lime beads. You may remember the bookmark that Krystle did for Fox in silk thread. Fox wanted to do the same bookmark for her sister and Krystle sent her the thread to make it. Here's the beginning stages in burgundy and green with more tiny green beads.

Heather is experimenting with a design using 2 different sizes of thread.
