Snowflakes and Christmas Trees, Exchange Gifts Too

Fox begins this update with a Celtic knot motif that she tried before. She thought she had figured it out the last time, but in the end she didn't. Don't give up Fox! We all have patterns that we can't quite grasp.

Katie is participating in the HBT thread exchange. She has already received one of her threads from Anna. She received a green thread with a gold filament in it and a sample of a size 150 thread. Katie also received a little shuttle bag made out of vintage fabric.

Ancolie sewed herself a needle case. She embellished it with embroidery and a tatted flower. Very pretty.

While recuperating at home, Aileen has been busy tatting Christmas ornaments to include in cards for her loved ones. First she tatted Circle of Crowns from Jon's snowflake book using Omega size 50 thread. Next she tatted a cute little Christmas Tree from Patty Duff's Mini Tats. Aileen modified the pattern a bit to make it larger. She used DMC Cebelia size 20 thread. Finally, Aileen tatted Jon's Featherline snowflake in the same Omega thread as the previous flake. All very pretty.
Anne has also been the recipient of tatting exchanges. First she shows us the absolutely gorgeous shuttle she was given by a fellow tatting from another city. The shuttle was made by the lady's father and decorated by the tatter herself. Anne is also trying to reconstruct a doily pattern designed by an old tatting lady. Anne says that if the doily was finished it would measure 48 cm. That's over 18 inches! Finally she shows us the InTatters Secret Santa package she received.

Heather has become the latest tatter to have someone else take credit for her designs. I agree with the comments you have already received. You need to say something to this person. It may be just a misunderstanding.

Joy has been busy tatting, but has been too busy to blog about it. She shows us a photo of some of the Christmas ornaments she has tatted. All very pretty.
