Bracelet, Earrings, Bookmarks, Doilies, Motifs, Hearts, Dragonfly, Bear and Crosses

Sue has finished another Starry Button Bracelet done this time in size 40 Falling Leaves, 3 different shades of gold bead and a Rose Gold for the beads over the buttons. The she finished the Lilac earrings from last week.

Grace made Ruth's Tatted Heart, a motif adapted from a Jan Stawasz pattern in Tatted Treasures, and orchid flower (adapted) by Jeanne Lugert and finally added the earring hardware to complete them. Jane Eborall's Never Smile at a Crocodile was immediately snatched up by her sister for a bookmark. 3 rows of the LandofLaces heart doily are done.

Diane is thrilled that the end of this round of the Jan Stawasz Masterpiece is in sight, there are only seven pattern repeats to go. Two more repeats done, just 5 more to go on this round.

Erisnyx tatted the Elcie motif pattern by Wanda Salmans in  Lizbeth size 20, #618 and #644. This Hippocampus pattern is one of the things she's been working on recently, done in Lizbeth size 20, #647, #686, and #688.

Fox and Umintsuru have begun Ben Fikkert's Corona Doily, which Fox is working in size 80 thread and she's already at the fourth row. She's wondering if a different method of wrapping the thread around her hand might be better, but at this point her habits may be hard to break. Renulek's Wiosna Row 7 is done and her colour change is because she's using up her size 40 stash.

Lilas tweaked an older pattern and came up with this earring pattern. Then she posted a tutorial showing how she got the bead in the middle. She liked how it looked and did another variation.

Marie says this cross pattern by Rebecca Jones reminds her of a zipper. Mary Konior's cross pattern was done in a Fruity thread. Floating Cross is from her favorite book by Lean Bjorn.

Phyllis was waiting in the hospital for her Mom to have some tests done and she wanted some simple patterns to work on. The Heart pattern my Karey Solomon, a little dragonfly by Jon Yusoff and her Kudzu bear were good choices.

HisKid did more test tatting for Elaine P. Gan, this cross is worked in Lizbeth Sky Blue Med. and Peacock Blues size 40. Another test tat cross design from Elaine P. Gan done in Lizbeth size 40 Boysenberry Dk. Size 40 Lizbeth Purple Iris Fusion was used for this test tat of Elaine's cross.

Bookmarks, Baby Carriage, Doilies and Edging

Erisnyx made the Autumn bookmark by Mark Myers for her Grandfather's birthday in Lizbeth size 80, #603 and #138. This Easy Bookmark from Learn to Tat by Janette Baker was made for her niece in Lizbeth size 20, #135 and #647. She was invited to a baby shower for three of her friends and decided to make Jane Eborall's Baby Buggy for each of them. The pink one done in  Lizbeth size 20, #621 and #132, turned out really cute. These sea green colours in  in Lizbeth size 20, #686 and #688 make for a nice simple design that would work well for any baby. The blue buggy, Lizbeth size 20, #657 and #143 has the lighter blue from the variegated thread positioned in the centre.

Diane had some unplanned down time due to forgetting to set the clock ahead, which resulted in the Jan Stawasz doily having this row nearly three quarters done. She spent a little time working on Renulek's Spring Doily and one shuttle ran out of thread, so it's time to do some winding. Aero bobbin shuttles take 9-10 yards of size 20 thread and are wound in about 2 minutes, which is yet another reason why I love bobbin shuttles-just imagine how much extra tatting time that gives me in a year.

Marie found this pattern in the Complete Book of Tatting, by Rebecca Jones and made it in rainbow thread.

Sue test tatted this cross design by Elaine P. Gan, but made a mistake on one of the arms that left it a little wonky. This next one is called Iron Cross which looks very iron-y in black with silver beads but she decided on a variegated pastel without the beads.

Wanda made her Emma edging in colours, it's just that they are very muted colours. Lizbeth #691 Mocha Brown Medium and #693 Linen Medium, both in size 10 are a nice subtle pairing. This is a sample in size 20, Lizbeth  #602 Natural and #658 Ocean Turquoise Light, just because that's what she had wound on the shuttles. She used size 10 for the edging because it covers more edge faster, it doesn't look as delicate as it would with smaller thread, but for table runners where the lace hangs over the edge of the table the heavier thread works better.

Pendants, Earrings, Necklaces, Doilies, Dragonflies, TIAS, Crosses, Motifs and Edging

JulieP used a polyester metallic thread that's bright and nice to work with, which makes the final work is stiff for this pendant.

Sue used white Aida 20 with lilac button and lilac and silver beads to make this earring and she's wondering if she should make a bracelet to match.

Cigdem tatted this design, which is a modification of  Mae Taylor's flower bookmark, in polyester thread with smoky quartz gemstones and crystals to make a necklace and earring set.

mb duke finished round 5 of Renulek's Spring 2015 doily and started on round 6. She started joining on the wrong picot, but luckily caught her mistake before too much work was done.

NancyD tatted a Dragonfly hanging on a cord for a friend of hers using a pattern is by Kristen Schmidt. The centre is in Lizbeth's Seagreen Dark in size 20 thread with seed beads.

Cindy has finished round 6 of Renulek's doily which took her about 6 hours and 12 minutes to complete.

Claire has finished and posted her TIAS in Lizbeth size 20, Autumn Apple Pie #169.

Diane has round 6 of Renulek's doily done here. Half way point of this round on the Jan Stawasz doily. Two more pattern repeats done. 23 repeats completed and it's such a huge doily these outer rounds are taking a long time.

Fox loves how Renulek's doily is working out, but she isn't happy with the size 40 Lizbeth thread.

Lilas had a small mishap in the kitchen and her finger is bandaged, which makes it hard to tat, so instead she has written out the pattern for her necklace.

Marie found Jane'e TIAS to be a quick and addicting pattern. That's why she made so many pairs of scissors. The dark colours she chose to tat Wendy's, Split Ring Cross pattern made her name this bookmark, Midnight Rainbow. Grace Tan's, Jane's Bookmark, has been in her "to do" pile for a while. This cross done in the same colour scheme is from Lean Bjorn's book.

Martha is so fed up with winter that she took her favourite floral edging and turned it into a spring angel using HDT from  Tat-ilicious.

Muskaan tried several techniques to tat pichkaris, added some water spouts and an assortment of one ring flowers to created the lace for this Holi picture. Ninetta posted her Quad 13 pattern and mentioned the she likes Frivole's method for hiding ends, so of course Muskaan had to try it out. Then she proceeds to show several methods for hiding ends.

HisKid tatted Jane's Roundabout Motif in size 40 HDT from Snapdragon Lace, Wisteria, and size 20 Lizbeth Lilac Dk. In celebration of her 5th year of blogging she's having a giveaway. Round 11 finally done on Renulek's 2014 Spring Doily.

Wanda made her Mandy Edging in Lizbeth #694 Harvest Orange Medium and #692 Mocha Brown Dark size 10, which was a change from the original ecru edging.
