Hearts, Shuttles and New Techniques

Vinnie made a lock shaped motif in block tatting using two techniques. Jane Eborall's for the center and Martha Ess for the outer rings.

Tattingchic has two of Georgia's tatting shuttles on display as well as a work in progress that I think a lot of us will recognize.

Anne has done a piece of homework from the on-line tatting class from last year but instead of using Coronation Cord she used ribbon. Very pretty Anne.

Diane ended up with some unexpected free time so she used it to tat some edging to use up the thread on a few shuttles she has. Very nice shuttles Diane.

Wally is really in the mood for tatting hearts. Motif 14 and 15 are designed by Jon Yusoff and are called Jon's Heart and Heart's Entwined. Motif's 16 and 17 are Two Hearts as One designed by Martha Ess and where meant to be woven together but Wally lost the directions so she left them separate. They look very nice on there own Wally.

Tallented Tatters, Snowflakes and Angels

Heather is tatting a motif and she is going to surprise us with what it is. She is using a clay shuttle that she made herself.

Ellen who is so wonderfully talented shows us what she sent to Pamela for the Secret Santa Exchange and it includes an angel that she calls Angel Pam which is motif #19 of the challenge and a beautiful snowflake bookmark.

Aileen shows us the treasure trove of gifts that she received from her better half and Secret Santa. There are also pictures of a snowflake and bookmarks and items for the Secret Santa Exchange that she tatted.

Stockings, Trees, Angels, Bookmarks, etc.

Heather is back to shuttle tatting! She had been using her needles for so long that she has to get her stitches smooth again, but she said it was no trouble picking it back up. Go Heather!

Kathy N. has posted a picture of her lovely stocking covered in tatting. I am sooo jealous, Kathy. I also appreciate the kind words of encouragement to the update team. Thank you.

Shirley has tatted a cute gray cat, a pretty angel, a snowflake and a turtle that is small enough for earrings. She has been busy, I think!

Tattingchic is sharing pictures with us of her lovely angel that she tatted 15 years ago and starched. She is still absolutely perfect. It is important to Tattingchic that angels have faces and she certainly picked a lovely one for this angel. She is made from 3 doilies tatted from the same pattern but modified to fit.

Eva has tatted a beautiful angel in a purple robe. Very pretty Eva.

Claudia has tatted a Christmas tree from Ellen Lai's pattern. This is motif #11 for her.

B.J. has posted a picture of her Secret Santa exchange. It sounds like a fun thing in which to participate.

Connie has pictures of things received and things sent. They are all very pretty. She has a new shuttle and is putting it to good use.

Snowflakes, Spinning Wheel Mats, Prizes and Projects!

Heather has been battling a sore throat and some other disappointments. However she does have some pictures that are interesting.

Carol has been very busy with little time for posting. She is having trouble keeping up with the tatting blogs, but says that is a good thing as it means more people are tatting. She is right! She shows us her completed TIAS with a section missing, but it looks good to me.

Shay has a picture from 1947 of some crocheted lace trimmings for a nightgown. She thinks they would be pretty on a v-neck blouse. I agree.

Iris and her friend have finished the two pullovers and they are so lovely. She has also made a Nativity set for a friend that is very sweet.

Wendy is brushing up on her knitting for cold winter nights by watching How To videos.

BJ has tatted a lovely pair of earrings designed by Sheila York for her daughter in her favorite color - lavender. She also has written a nice, long post well worth reading.

Connie has two lovely bookmarks to show us plus an order from Handy Hands and some sample threads.

Wanda shows us the evolution of a snowflake. She doesn't like her first two attempts, but is happy with the third. I like them all!

Ancolie has some lovely things to show us. Unfortunately I understand very little of her language. I hope those of you who do will enjoy what she has to say.

Carol has made a flat-faced Jingle Santa that she is writing out the pattern to share. Thanks Carol!
Clyde is staying busy tatting while helping his partner's dad to recover from surgery. He will have pictures to share later. He is tatting Ruth's Celtic Snowflake in HDT Apple Blossom.
Diane has made her first attempt at frontside/backside tatting. She found it a little confusing at times, but the oval insert is beautiful.
Gina has won some new fabric. Congratulations. Yes, I think you will have to get on with the CQ! She also has lots of other things to tell us about.
Jon has received the goodies she won from Tatting Goddess. You must go look. What a lucky lady she is.
Kathy is tatting an "M" for her niece to be sewn onto a sweatshirt. She hopes to share the pattern with us in January. Thank you Kathy.
Laura has finished one more glass mat in Yarnplayer's "Fern" hand dyed thread. She hopes this is the last one, but won't promise.
