Hearts, Necklace, Snowflakes, Doilies, Earrings, Crosses, Shamrock, Motifs, Pendant, Spider, Flowers and Bracelet

Batty Tatter finished off Heart's Desire by Susan Fuller while at the Farmer's Market and has plans to tat more.

Elsa has made a beaded necklace based on an vintage pattern, adding beads on the chains and substituting seed bead, large bead, seed bead for a ring, which makes a lovely, clever design. Best of all, she has included the pattern and instructions on her blog.

Grace hasn't posted for ages and she's making up for it all at once. This pretty pink snowflake is from Jennifer Williams' book using Edda Guastalla's Master thread size 30 colour Rosso with Glass czech beads. Unfolding Heart by Marilee Rockley, is done in size 20 Lizbeth dark purple and purple Twirlz but she didn't like how the first one turned out. The second try was much better and used on a wedding card. Doily #13 from free-tatting.com was worked in DMC perle cotton size 8 for a finished size of about 6 inches. The design, AnnaMarie, by Alenalea Rako, the white one in size 20 Lizbeth and the pink is vintage size 70. The earrings are from Edda Guastalla's pattern Poyel angel using viola Master thread from her website, contrast dark purple size 20 Lizbeth, gold plated earwires and crystal beads. The cross is from Rita Weiss Traditional Tatting Patterns, thread is size 70 Coats and Clarks vintage, gifted to her. Shamrocks from Marilee Rockley's free pattern on her website, done in Marilee's HDT size 40 Celery with Delica beads. Mauve earrings based on a design by Edda Guastalla, Minuetto, done in Cyclamen thread from Italy and Lizbeth 636 with Crystal beads and glass pearl. She tried out the double square from Edda's blog, worked with rame and bronze Range thread from Edda's store and at 3.5 inches long it's a bit large for earrings. This bookmark was gifted to her sister for her birthday along with earrings based on the short arms. Earrings before ear wires attached, 2 pairs of leaves in Marilee Rockley/yarnplayer hand dyed thread, Delica beads, adapted from a cross pattern by Elaine P Gan. The TotusMel pendant from the center of her Gothic Doily done in size 60 Sunlight thread from Edda's shop was adapted for a pendant.

Diane finished her Spinning Wheel Glass Mat in Coats & Clark's tatting-crochet thread, size 70, color #171 and it's about 3 1/2" across. With the thread left on the shuttle she tatted Renulek's Snowflake Rosie. Her next Spinning Wheel is started in size 80 Lizbeth, Pink Cocoa #166, which she tried not to use too often as it gives her a craving for chocolate and strawberries.

Eliz created this tatted spider for her grandson using Size 20, black Flora and yellow/while/gold variegated Manuela. The Butterfly on a paper clip by Ellen Lai and the Pansy by Lisa C. Trumble were tatted with some HDT that seems to bleed. Any suggestions for making it colourfast?

Fox couldn't face using the blue from her original thread choices so she's using red with 2 shades of ecru, although the colour variations may not be apparent on screen.

Marie tatted Camilla, which is another of her favourite cross designs.

Sue has wanted to tat Corina Meyfeldt's bracelet for a while and finally made it in size 20 Lizbeth Sky Blue Dk, with these fabulous beads she found at Hobby Lobby from inBloom by Bead Design, and Czech Glass Beads 11/0 seed beads Crystal. She originally tried it with seed beads around the outside of the focal bead, but it seemed to distort the tatting. She's thinking she may do it again in size 40 thread.

Seahorse, Necklace, Bracelet, Earrings, Edging, Doilies, Bookmarks, Techniques and Lanyard

Batty Tatter has been trying to get some tatting done for the Farmer's Market and these seahorses are some of her work.

Lelia took a class with Marilee Rocklee at the Lafayette Lacemakers convention, where these did Marilee's Beaded Path pattern which she worked in Lizbeth size 10, colour 650,Denim Blue Lt. Marilee's kit for the design had everything needed thread, crochet hook, tatting shuttle, beads, bead mat, findings, and colour pattern. It makes necklace, bracelet and earrings. Lelia found the Magical edging keeper in purpleheart wood impossible to resist and she just had to bring one home to try.

Diane has been working on Renulek's Napkin mini-beauty in size 20, Lizbeth, Pineapple Parfait and she's on round 3. Here she's ready to start round 4. The finished size is 7 1/4" and she loves the colour. She wound some Coats & Clark's size 70 tatting-crochet thread on her newest Hand-wind Shuttle from Grizzly Mountain Arts and started another Spinning Wheel.

Eliz tatted Muskaan's Split Colour Edging in one colour although her first attempt in size 80 thread went straight in the trash. The Sixteenth Day of December from Lene Bjorn's 24 Snowflakes in Tatting is done in Lizbeth size 20 for a finished diameter of 9.5 cm or 3.75 inches.  By starting with a clover from the outside round and making the 2nd ring of the clover a self-closing mock ring, she was able to tat the Seventeenth Day of December in one round using DMC Cecelia size 30 for a snowflake that is 9 cm or 3.6 inches. Camilla Cross from Lene Bjorn's Tatted Bookmarks done in Manuela size 20, colour #041 is 12 cm or 4.75 inches tall.

Fox has finished off the doily for Mini Boss and although she started out not liking the colour of the thread, she's decided, now that it's finished, that it's pretty after all. After size 80 thread, she's working in size 8 perle and the beads are a light lilac shade that she likes with the ecru and red thread.

Muskaan has added some detailed pictures and clarification of the techniques used in her recent post.

Sue tatted this bookmark to empty a shuttle and she thought it might end up as a bracelet, but it kept curling up so much that she stopped and made it short for a bookmark.

Wanda had several people ask how she made her Lanyard, so she's written it out and added it to her Patterns page.

Earrings, Motifs, Shawl, Doilies, Snowflakes, Brooch and Hedgehog

Sharon discovered a knit shop in a coffee shop/bookstore and she  took a selection of earrings to show off made using Sweet Pea and Spanish Dancer from Krystle Pyette, and Floret from Marilee Rockley.

Elsa started her tatted shawl in a Harlequin style with no less than 19 colours using DMC cotton pearl size 12. She has taken pictures of various segments to give you an idea of how she is working it.

Diane thinks she would have finished this Spinning Wheel if she hadn't spent so much time reading. She did finish her Spinning Wheel in Niagara Falls. The size of these doilies for reference; the blue is Lizbeth size 80 and about 3 1/2", the yellow Snowflake Cappuccino is size 20 Lizbeth and is about 4 3/4", the green Spinning wheel is size 20 Lizbeth and is about 5 1/2". Now she's working on Renulek's Napkin mini-beauty in size 20 Lizbeth, Pineapple Parfait.

Eliz has been learning Filet Tatting with Amanda aka Mandatory which doesn't look like much after the first row.

Fox wasn't enamoured of the thread colour but it isn't pooling as bad as she thought it would. She purchased some size 8 Finca pearl cotton, which is the same thread she used for the s First Prize Fair Winner doily she did a few years ago, and plans to tat Renulek's new pattern with beads making a similar doily for her friend.

Margaret tatted Lene Bjorn's 12th day of December in Lizbeth size 20 white, and while she didn't really like the pattern, now that it's pressed it looks better than she thought. The 13th Day of December was done in Green Coral Sea Lizbeth no 20 for a change of colour.

Marie has posted instructions for adding beads to her  2-Layered Flower Brooch. Here is the same brooch with different beads.

Muskaan tatted RainBeau the 2009 Appalachian Festival Hedgehog by Ruth Perry in Anchor Mercer Crochet Cotton Size 20 shade white with ta 4054-1218. She shows the techniques she used in the hedgehog from previous pieces. She came across the term Loop-Tatted Ring on Ring in a tutorial/diagram from Anastasija P.Yelisejeva and used it for part of Iris Niebach's doily.

Sue only has 16 repeats left, but she is tired of the repetition and had to put it aside for a while. Row 14 is finally done!
