Angels, Crosses, Doilies, Earrings, Motifs, Cat, Dog, Elephant, Giraffe, Bracelet, Pendants, Easter Egg and Edging

Dorota used this finding first in a necklace, but since she wears more earrings, she decided to use them for a pair of earrings. She tatted black lace with a red finding and red lace with a black finding. She has the 4th and 5th rows of the heart doily completed and shows the stitch count for both rows.

Melanie has the second version of her shawl angel worked in size 20 thread and she wants to see what it will look like in size 80.

Gwen made 2 starts on the Spring 2015 doily by Renulek. The first she used to make a cupcake pin cushion for a friend and the second a for the doily.

Jenn test tatted two more cross patterns by Elaine P Gan.  The first cross is called Sanctification cross and the second cross is called Eternal Love.

Sue tatted Jane Eborall's Crocodile in Lizbeth Wildflower Garden. She has her Starry Button Bracelet done along with matching earrings and pendant. The Easter Egg was tatted by one of the ladies in her lace group using one of Jane Eborall's patterns.

Nancy's friend is making a christening gown for a friend and this will be added as edging.

Linda has Nancy Tracy's Doily tatted in size 10 Lizbeth threads finished. She has started on the Spring Doily by Renulek and tatted with size 40 Lizbeth Blue Ice.

Cindy has round 8 of Renulek's Spring 2015 Doily completed and it gets prettier and harder to photograph with every round. Using size 20 Lizbeth, the doily is now about 13 inches in diameter and this round took her took about 4 hours and 40 minutes to complete.

Claire has the first round of a doily from Norma Benporath done in size 20 colours # 632 Purple Med and # 605 Silver. This doily is the chosen tat along being done by the French Facebook tatting group.

Diane is back to working on her blue doily. She hadn't gone too far before she realized she had twisted the work before making a join so it took a little snipping before she could fix it and get back to work. A little more progress on round 7. Here it is at almost half way. And a little more.  She started on the next round of the Jan Stawasz Masterpiece and it looks like this round is going to take more attention to the pattern than she originally though as the picots on the chains are not in an easily recognizable pattern repeat. Better to take the time and be careful than have to cut and start again.

Fox in her usual obsessive compulsive way, has discovered and fretted over some mistakes in tatting this Ben Fikkert doily, which, of course, resulted in some snipping and re-tatting. Personally, all I can see is beautiful lace!

Lilas has been tatting Ankars style laces which required some different threads. These are her new earring designs in the Ankars style.

Marie is still working from Tatted Animals, by Inga Madsen and here is the Cat. The Puppy she made into a card. The Elephant was done with Coats and Clark size 30 thread. She made this darling giraffe for a friend.

Muskaan has documented several ways to make curls, coils and curlicues that add an interesting touch to laces.

Wanda discovered a teacup and saucer at a flea market that is beautifully set off by this doily that she made for another tea cup set.

Bracelet, Crosses, Doilies, Shamrock, Bird, Butterfly and Edging

Julie worked from the French version of Accessoires en Frivolité by Takako Peikko Kitano to make this design in DMC size 20, although the book recommends the designs be done in finer threads.

Jenn test tatted Elaine P. Gann's "My Portion" cross.

Cindy is about half way through round 7 on Renulek's Wiosna 2015 doily at this point. Here is round 7 finished.

Diane finished round 6 of Renulek's Spring Doily. She also finished round 8 of the Jan Stawasz Masterpiece doily so she's on a roll.

Fox has round 8 of Renulek's doily done and has just realized that the colours she has chosen are the same as a little print she has. She spent a lot of time debating which thread to use for the Corona Doily and this #80 Lizbeth is behaving nicely, so far.

Kristen has been busy, which doesn't leave much tatting time, but she did manage a shamrock for St Paddy's day.

Marie tatted Wanda's Graduation Cross that finished off another 25 for her challenge. The mountain blue bird is Idaho's state bird and she tatted this one from "Tatted Animals," by Inga Madsen in size 30 thread. The butterfly is another design from Inga's book that she tatted in size 20 thread.

Muskaan is working on Renulek’s Wiosna Doily 2015 and using some techniques she learned. She's been using an assortment of tricks for hiding ends. Tiny picots helped to anchor adjoining elements. Working the flowers separately, gave her the added advantage of being able to easily use SSSR to finish off the flowers. When she ran out of thread, she used a weaver's knot to giver her enough thread to work with and made a SCMR instead of a normal ring.

Sue shows all of the crosses she test tatted for Elaine P Gann's new book. This one is Hosanna, tatted in size 40 Yarnplayer's HDT Celery, followed by, Justification, Eternal Love, Faith, Holy Cross, Iron Cross, Mercy and Resurrection.

Wanda has finished the pattern for her Emma edging and added it to her pattern page. She has posted her Happy St Patrick's day picture of a tatted doily portrayed with green ivy.
