Doilies, Edging, Bookmarks, Bracelet, Necklaces, and a Suit

Bree is making Kersti's Stumpy bookmark using a variety of threads. These are made with Lizbeth in both needle and shuttle tatting and she is working on another in needle tatting using hand quilting thread.
Jennie has made a necklace to match the bracelet done earlier with a few adjustments using split rings here and there. Hattalahutta has been very industrious although it may not look like it from her tatting because she has taken on clunies. Ingrid tatted an edging with purple Durable crochet cotton from the book Tatting doilies & edgings edited by Rita Weiss and added it to a baby t-shirt and matching socks. She stitched the edging flat on the collar of the shirt, but not on the socks. They both look wonderful.
Orsi now has all of the pieces for her suit done and she took it apart to starch the lace and mark the silk. She's finally ready to assemble all of the pieces.
Sue has been hard at work tatting rounds 6 and 7 of Agasunset's tablecloth. Wally is working on this doily which uses a CD as a base.

Bookmarks, Bracelet, Doily, Butterflies, Flowers, Leaves, and Necklaces,

Karen joins the challenge and she worked with seed beads and gray upholstery thread to tat up Lyn Morton's necklace pattern. She wanted a different look and made some roses to go along with it. Bree has been tatting bugs including Pamela's Luna Moth done in Lizbeth Springtime size 20 and some colourful crochet thread in size 10 and Jon's dragonfly in size 10 crochet cotton and the green is DMC pearl size 10.
Ingrid tatted a collar but she thinks it needs a little something to give it some character, but she's not sure where to go from here and she's looking for ideas and suggestions.
BSOTF is continuing to tat with some unusual fibres like macrame cord which is pictured here next to a ball of thread for perspective and then something a little more normal like this size 10 thread.
Lily almost has the Stargazer Lily completed. The wire has been added to the petals and it's all ready to assemble. She receive some special size 50 thread in Faerie HDT from Sherry and she used it to tat a butterfly from the book "the Gentle Art of Tatting Things We Love" by Ann Rizzo.
Corina has a tatted bookmark intended for the shop.
Carolyn has finished the Tatted Petal Doily from Star Book 66 in Flora size 20 colors 100 & 670 and its simply gorgeous.
Ann tatted a bit of fall inspiration, Simple Leaf by Karey Solomon from Tatting Turns Over a New Leaf. Katherinne finished the prototype of the bracelet she made using 4mm glass pearls and size 10 Cebelia, but she thinks she might do it again with a smaller beads and size 20 thread. She had an opportunity to tat in public while waiting in the doctor's office and she made a little doodle in size 40 Lizbeth and some rings only edging in size 10 thread left on her new shuttles. IsDihara decided to tat the Valiere Square ice cream cone and manged to get a good start during the little one's play date.
Diane has her tatting back - mounted in some lovely shuttles. Fox tatted Stumpy with beads, including bugle beads, that didn't quite work out as planned but both variations look good anyway. Umintsuru's dragonflies were already done and have been used to give some dazzle to these crocheted boys caps.
Marty shows us the Bonneville Tatters demonstration table at the fair where they gave away card bookmarks with bits of tatting glued onto them and the tatting that other tatters entered in the fair.
Sherry is making great progress on Jane's patchwork project and the baby looks like it's right on track although it would be good if she could gain a little weight, which has been made harder by Sherry picking up a nasty virus.
Wally taught 2 different classes at Palmettos; Schwarino Flying Rings, a technique similar to Daisy Picots developed by Patry Schwab from Germany one of the Spanish-speaking tatters and roll tatting.

Bookmarks, Doily, Motifs, Snowflakes, Butterflies and Dragonflies

Bree is another new challenge participant that taught herself how to both needle and shuttle tat and her first entries are some simple bookmarks that she designed using size 20 Lizbeth thread. These are a variety of simple rounds with tails and dimpled rings or clovers to hang out of the book.
Jennie used "bamboo spun - natural bamboo yarn" in sea blue to make a headband, but she thinks it might need a ribbon backing for stabilization.
Gwen used Jon's pattern to make 2 dragonflies with Lizbeth size 20 Springtime and another in Falling Leaves to make a third dragonfly. The dragonflies and a couple of butterflies were then used to decorate some cards.
BSOTF has been playing around with tatting different things like the leather and elastic shown here. Ann tatted a motif from Patti Duff's Mini Tats with one little blip, so she thinks she'll have to do another.
Wanda doesn't often work with beads because she doesn't find them very portable, but she had an idea for a beaded butterfly that she had to try out. It's worked in Lizbeth size 20, black for the body and Caribbean for the wings, with 10/0 seed beads.
Ancolie did a little work on the regularity of the stitches with a thick thread using an old insertion lace pattern.
Diane is tatting more shuttle shapes for epoxy shuttles. She tried adding a picot to each end of Stumpy to give it more of a point in Altin Basak size 50, color #3005, but it was only moderately successful. Then she tatted Anne Bruvold's pattern designed for the purpose in Lizbeth size 20 colors #661 and #660.
Fox tatted The Amusement Doily by Celtess using some variegated thread that Heather sent her. It looks lovely, but she ran out of the variegated thread and had to improvise. She discovered in doing it, that round shapes with the concentric circle designs do not please her.Kelly has just been asked to substitute for one of the Fringe Element teachers who was in a car accident and won't be able to teach. She is both apprehensive and thrilled at the proposition and has assembled an assortment or easier pieces for beginners to tackle.
Martha has posted some pictures from the Palmetto's get together where there was lots of lovely laces to look at. She has been tatting some things with the threads from the Thread Exchange and finds that bookmarks like this Mary Konior's Duet pattern are a good choice for the length of thread. She also used an exchange thread, maybe Lizbeth 691 Mocha Brown Medium? to perfect her koala bear pattern.
Mica tatted Day 20 from Bjørn's 24 Snowflakes in Tatting and finds she is getting more comfortable with split chains although the mock rings are visible because she didn't want to pull the metallic thread too hard and break it. Maybe the trick with this is to tat the whole thing looser so that you can pull hard and not damage the thread.
