Earrings, Bracelets, Necklaces, Animals, Motifs, Doily, Crosses and Collars

Corina has finished the mate to Iris' earring and although she doesn't usually wear such long earrings, working on these has sent her back looking for more patterns to try.

Agasunset has re-done her Inara necklace in black.
Liyarra worked on Round Medallion No.150 from Tatting a Potpourri of Patterns from Handy Hands. The variegated colour was too loud so she toned down the outer round by adding a plain olive green, but it seems to have lost it's character so she's doing it again in black.
NancyD has tatted some more of Gina B's bookmarks in Flora size 20 and the blue trim is Lizbeth size 20. She has also received Heather's new book and is excited to begin tatting some more ladies to put on a quilt. Linda won the contest to name Miranda's newest snowflake, "Angels in the Snow" and was pleased to to receive the new pattern and the tatting book, "New Twist on Tatting" by Catherine Austin as her prize.
Vinnie was intrigued by the way Iris used rings to create a dimensional effect in her earrings and she tried it out on a bracelet. The she tried for an even more three dimensional effect and did another bracelet. Which led to a swirling heart which will make an outstanding pendant.

Claudia was playing with the Monster or Loch Ness picot from the online class, where she used Dan Rusch´s technique using a variegated lilac colour and a pink, DMC # 8. She added a ring inside the monster picot, to make it just a little different and for the stem she tatted a zigzag chain in two colours. She's thinking of calling this the Lochness ring flower.
Fox has lots of tatting news. After all of her hard work she finally has her TAT Master. She had time on her trip to New York to tat Jennifer Williams' pattern from the Ring of Tatters Magazine and Jon's Enchanter in Yarnplayer's Garden Afternoon HDT. Taking a page from Suneeti's book she has added tatted motifs to the little one's outfits. She has found a cute ladybug tin to hold those pieces that she doesn't have a use for but can't bear to throw away. She finished the beaded necklace, but found it boring to work on.

Mica tatted this pattern from A New Twist on Tatting by Catherine Austin with Signature size 40 quilting thread.

Wally has 2 fairs in May and she's doing a lot of tatting including this burgundy collar made with a cotton #10 thread from Egypt called Helwan. The pattern is from Needle Tatting with Style Book 1. This other is from a Russian Book called "Tatting" from 1993 and she used #10 thread Aunt Lydia's in a light cream.

Necklace, Motif, Cosses Bookmarks, Harts, Bracelet

Agasunset has finished Inara's Heart Necklace is finished with glass teardrop beads and a glass chandelier bead connected with one more glass teardrop at the base.

NancyD has done a variation of Gina Butler's cross in red, white and blue.
Cindy finds tatting good therapy for stressful times. Creating art and the end result of beautiful lace is just the by product. The Flat Flower Motif from Tatting Patterns by Lyn Morton worked in Krystledawne's Be Mine HDT, size 30 an entertaining diversion while waiting for hubby to get out of surgery.
Vinnie has created yet another fresh, light, summery, design using light blue green shiny seed beads on white thread in a rings only pattern with a transparent mother of pearl polished button for a closure. Stunning!
Bonnie started Kersti's Sweet Heart Tatted Bookmark for International Tatting Day, but she didn't quite get it finished. Since then she has completed several and added a slight modification of her own.

Ellen made a set of fabric flower brooches a tatted paperclip butterfly and some smalled tatted flowers as embellishment for the card for a colleague who was leaving. Heather has posted a PDF of her tatted half marbles all done in various sizes.
Krystle shares more pictures taken at the Shuttlebirds event. The "Spring Fires" bookmark from Karey Solomon's class, in which she learned block tatting and a new method of SLT. Project two is a celtic motif. Round one was tatted with one of Ladyshuttlemaker's metal shuttles, and part of round two was tatted with one of her personal ceramic shuttles that she was taking for a test drive. The folded ring angel was made in Sherry's class. Check out the people pics on Krystle's blog. Have you ever seen so many people smiling from ear to ear? Sherry has a new reason to tat. It has 10 fingers and 10 toes and wants to be dressed in pink.

Ladies, Angel, Necklace, and Heart

Dale Marie is pleased to finally be able to show the necklace she did for the pendant exchange. It was inspired by Ruth Scharf's leaves and flowers and was tatted in Flora size 50 and Venus size 40 thread. She was also thrilled to receive the silver earring she won in Alan's giveaway.
Agasunset is working on a necklace inspired by the series "Firefly".
The pattern IsDihara wanted to work on calls for a single shuttle split ring which she hadn't tried before. She's working on Riet's Dragonfly, Libel to practice.
Steph was one of the test tatters for Heather's new book. This is Lady Marjorie tatted with Altin Basak 50 threads.
Bonnie was another of the test tatters and she did Lady Shannan in Lizabeth variegated SpringTime and Spring Green.
Diane finished Stacey's pillow and it looks gorgeous .


Heather has tatted some more half marbles just for fun. She came home from shopping with some new beads to try and made this flower design and it's inspired her to do more. Sh also has some new HDT in metallic and bamboo. Krystle had a blast at the Shuttlebird's workshop, except for the $144.00 speeding ticket. These are just some of the tatted treasures she saw and if you want the full story with names and faces, you'll have to check out her blog. Martha test tatted one of Heather's ladies. Size 20 Manuela dark green and Valdani size 12 variegated were used to make Lady Shauna and she came out about 5 1/2 inches tall. The Martha tatted her again. The diminutive version was worked with Oren Bayan size 70 brown and a vintage Coats yellow variegated and it's about 3 1/2 inches tall. Sherry was also at Shuttlebirds with all of her lovely HDT, books and ceramics. She taught this charming Angel but didn't take many pictures. She did get a shot of Mary McCarthy's hats which are pure eye candy.
