Cheryl tatted 17 feet 4 inches of garland, size 20 Lizbeth thread. Using a big black button and some unknown thread, she made this wall hanger with a ruffled effect.
Schmath has 4-12 in the 25 Motif Challenge done using patterns by Dale Pomeroy working in Lizbeth size 20 thread and it's taken her several weeks to get these done.
Jane loves the sense of movement in Jane Eborall's gecko pattern which she did in Keylime raspberry parfait, size 20 and the bottom one is Rainbow, size 40 from Tat-ilicious. The beaded gecko is done in some Cebelia thread that she dyed.
Margaret used Lizbeth size 20 Sea Island Citrus to tat round one and two of the challenge doily on Intatters. She tatted a pumpkin using Lizbeth Falling leaves size 20 and instead of a green leaf she just used the same colour. The pattern is actually an apple designed by Mark Myers. She used Oren Bayan Koton Perle no 8 to create her Fluffy Angel.
Lelia was gifted with a tatted tartlet made by CathyB and her Mom, cute, decorative and useful.
Ginny is tatting Norma Benporath's Lace Mat and she has the first 2 rounds done in Lizabeth 175 Scottish thistle and 632 med purple.
Kristen tatted a simple leaf and acorn using some size 80 thread in fall colours that her mother encouraged her to buy.
Linda did a lot of Halloween tatting like the owls by tattabug, bats, ghost with picots, and cat on top of a broom
by Mark Myers, a ghost by Jeff Hamilton and the spider and web by Dianna Stevens. The pumpkins are by Nancy Tracy, stem by Mark Myers and the leaves by Sherry Matthews. The Skeleton head is by Martha Ess and the body by Carol Amich. The Halloween postcards are decorated with tatted owls. The Halloween tablerunner has tatted motifs all across it.
Cindy used size 12 Pearl Cotton for her doily in taupe and ecru although the colours are hard to capture.
Diane switched from purple back to red for these snowflakes. The she test tatted Margaret's Fluffy Angel, but the only perle cotton she could find was DMC No. 8 in navy blue.
Fox tatted this motif on a ring for her cousin who was thoughtful enough to score a lovely shuttle in her travels and bring it home for her. She tatted this motif in vibrant reds to hang in her car since the old one got faded by the sunshine. She's had these findings for a while but wasn't sure what to do with them, but now inspiration has hit and they are a lovely pair of earrings. Round 4 of Renulek's Tat-A-Long is completed and it's an 8 inch doily. The red Finca size 8 thread may be a touch thick for earrings, but the colour goes so well with the finding. Harlequin is another delightful design from from Karey Solomon's Let It Snow done in size 40 Lizbeth. Here is the beginning of Renulek's 2011 Honey Napkin. Fox is another one who test tatted Margaret's Fluffy Angel. The red earrings were languishing in her shop so she though she might try the findings in a different colour. The doily is progressing and here you can see it beside a crocheted doily, so you can see it's going to be big.
Isdihara has been tatting Norma Benporath's Lace Mat Tat-Along, where she is working on Round 3 and griping over the liberal use of picots. She found the long chains on round 3 to be floppy and mentioned that excessively long unsupported chains were one of the things that were addressed in the Design-Tat course. I call them spaghetti chains because they have no more shape than a wet noodle. She re-worked the design, in order to retrofit some structure, but then lost the attractive "onion dome" shape. The design with the onion done shape is really pretty, but as is, it needs to be attached to something to hold it's shape.
Jess tatted her one shuttle heart, but added a chain going around the outside and finished with a few split rings making a balloon or a heart tree. Here's a familiar design done in size 100 Punk Princess HDT.
Marie finished 25 motifs, so she's decided to go for 100. Crystal Breeze Pendent is the result of a snowflake found at a yard sale which had a broken arm, so the rest were amputated to match and the pendent was tatted in four rounds with pearl cotton #12 making the finished piece 2 1/2" across. The heart pendent was done in Lizbeth, size 20, vineyard harvest. Rosey uses Lizbeth, size 20 threads, but she's not happy with the beaded flower part, so she re-did it so it's not so busy. Leafy Pendent uses Lizbeth, size 20 thread, seed beads and Swarovski crystals on a pendant.
Martha shares her fair entries. Iris' Anemone Nemorosa from her book Tatting Fantasia 2. The doll with the old fashioned edging made a perfect choice for the vintage handkerchief forming the yoke with a hens and chickens border which received only a red ribbon, while the hanky which was worked in size 80 received a blue. The Christmas ornament is one of Terry the Tatter's bell patterns. Finally, here is her Lace Mat still in progress.
Wanda decided that her first angel was a success so she made another one, but this one is a little slimmer.
