Doilies, Ice Drops, Necklaces and Edging

The Guidelines
1. Permission to copy. When a participant joins they are authorizing me to copy their pictures to be shown on the challenge blog.
2. The blogs are ALL checked whenever there is an update using the links list in the sidebar on the right, there is no need to advise me that you have added new content. If your new items haven't shown up, it's because I haven't had time to do an update yet.
3. I can't keep track of how many motifs each person does. You may post articles of tatting that you don't plan on including in your 25, or you may post a pair of earrings and count each earring as a separate motif. I don't read minds, so it's up to each participant to tell me when they have reached their goal of 25.
4. From past experience I know the challenge is addictive. If you finish and plan on doing it again let me know so that I continue to check your blog on a regular basis. Also let me know if once was enough so that I can move your blog to the list of past participants.
5. Whenever you get a chance don't just view the pictures here, take the time to click on the links to people's blogs and read all about what they are doing, instead of just getting the snippets of it here. People like it when you take the time to visit their blog and comment on their work. A lot of the fun of the challenge is that we get to know each other and encourage one another to try new things.
6. Tatting 25 motifs in a year typically means tatting 2 motifs per month. Tatters who do not post any tatting content for 5 or 6 months will be removed from the list of participants.
---------------

Melanie found this doily in a resale shop and it's prompted her to look at designing something in cro-tatting for the fair. (I've always heard cro-tatting refer to needle tatting done with a crochet hook, not mixed media tatting, which combines tatting with crochet, which seems to be what this doily is.)

Diane has been spending her time weaving and more recently walking which only left time for one Ice Drop.

Fox is nearly caught up with Alenalea's tat along, but she's almost out of green thread. She has the next row done and there's a rumour that the next one is the last.

Margaret and Fox are at the same point on Alenalea's tat along, but Margaret is working in size 20 Grape Pizzaz and white, while Fox is working in a solid green in (I think) size 40.

Marie is working on day 2 of Renulek's Spring 2014 doily. She was awarded a well deserved, "Designer of the Week",  by Fire Mountain Gems & Beads for this gorgeous necklace. Round 3 of the doily is done. Round 4 is completed and she's working in size 10 thread, so this will be fairly large when it's done.

Muskaan's summer "homework" for the online tatting class was to send in tatted models and diagrams for 7 vintage edgings from Needleart 1921. Here is edging number 7. It doesn't help that the picture to go with the pattern has a mistake, but she figured that out and has written out the "one pass" instructions. In her first attempt she worked all 3 rows separately, but after trying it they can all be worked continuously. In this second sampler,in Row I, she added 1ds to the chain on either side on the thrown ring to give it more curvature, as can be seen when the 2 samplers are compared.

Sue is tatting Ice Drops in white with red gems and this one is Diane's Spring Garden Ice Drop. The next one is Diane's Bloomin' Ice Drop pattern and both are scrumptious.
