Doilies, Ice Drops, Motifs and Earrings

Vera has been working steadily although somewhat distractedly and she's half way through the last round. The doily is looking large and lovely.

Diane finished a pink Ice Drop that's sure to please Sophie. She likes the contrast between the pastel glass gem and ribbon and the bold colours of Rainbow Splash on this one. Another Ice Drop with a pale pink ribbon. She's still on the same ball of Rainbow Splash for this Ice Drop.

Fox found the curves weren't curving right so once again she took the scissors to her tatting but it looks like it's behaving now. Mary Konior's Posy is one of her favourites. Size 40 Lizbeth splits on her again and of course it was on the last join of a row. Fox seems to be a magnet for this kind of trouble, but maybe it's only on size 40.

Sue tatted a Christmas Ice Drop from Diane's Spring Garden Ice Drop pattern worked in Lizbeth size 20 Christmas Delight. Diane's Root Beer Fudge Ice Drop pattern, tatted in Lizbeth size 20 Christmas Delight. Another Christmas Ice Drop tatted from Diane's Blue Fudge Ice Drop pattern. Ice Drop earrings are tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Elderberry Jam with clear purple plastic beads in the centre. Shown front and back. These plastic beads are see through, which the glass ones aren't. This pair of earrings are tatted in size 80 Lizbeth Falling Leaves. She wanted to use the Christmas Delight thread but the beads shaded too much toward orange instead of red which suited the Falling Leaves thread better.
