Flowers, Brooches, TIAS, Flag, Motifs, Ice Drops, Doilies, Bracelet, Snowflake, Earrings and Necklace

The Guidelines
1. Permission to copy. When a participant joins they are authorizing me to copy their pictures to be shown on the challenge blog.
2. The blogs are ALL checked whenever there is an update using the links list in the sidebar on the right, there is no need to advise me that you have added new content. If your new items haven't shown up, it's because I haven't had time to do an update yet.
3. I can't keep track of how many motifs each person does. You may post articles of tatting that you don't plan on including in your 25, or you may post a pair of earrings and count each earring as a separate motif. I don't read minds, so it's up to each participant to tell me when they have reached their goal of 25.
4. From past experience I know the challenge is addictive. If you finish and plan on doing it again let me know so that I continue to check your blog on a regular basis. Also let me know if once was enough so that I can move your blog to the list of past participants.
5. Whenever you get a chance don't just view the pictures here, take the time to click on the links to people's blogs and read all about what they are doing, instead of just getting the snippets of it here. People like it when you take the time to visit their blog and comment on their work. A lot of the fun of the challenge is that we get to know each other and encourage one another to try new things.
6. Tatting 25 motifs in a year typically means tatting 2 motifs per month. Tatters who do not post any tatting content for 5 or 6 months will be removed from the list of participants.
---------------

Pop Maria, now that spring is coming, created some floral brooches in hand dyed threads. Gorgeous colours and awesome flowers!

Melanie has her version of Day 8 TIAS 2017 done. She hasn't shown us a picture of the work on her flag in quite some time, but she was reminded of it when she organized her photos.

Diane is still practising the Eightsome Reel from A Pattern Book of Tatting by Mary Konior and she hopes she has enough thread left to square off this test piece without having to order another ball. She let Bella choose the colours for this Ice Drop and notes that it's nice getting input from others, as they sometimes choose combinations she might not. She has another Eightsome Reel motif done and she has it down to a science, 75 wraps of thread and an hour of tatting. She's been tatting a lot of pink Ice Drops with heart charms and while she's not a fan of pink, or Valentine's, she plans to give these to her family and friends, who'll love them.

Fox is keeping her head down and concentrating and this Shrek, green doily is going fast. You wouldn't think it but something the colour of a swamp monster is unexpectedly nice.

Lilas tried out a Gutermann silk thread and now she's trying a purple polyester as a core thread with a pearl silk spool "Au Ver à Soie" using a chain only bracelet design with beads.

Margaret tatted a couple of Ice Drops, both in  Lizbeth white thread size 20; one has a red glass gem in the middle. The other is a snowflake with the glass gem in the middle of the snowflake Diane called, Doodad Snowflake. Margaret put beads where the Josephine rings should be in the same colour as the gem, and made a Spiral chain.

Marie tatted a bracelet and earrings to match the necklace she did in Lizbeth Scottish Thistle. She made this, cute, butterfly necklace for her niece, for Christmas using a pattern found in one of the Il Mio Chiacchierino magazines.

Muskaan has tatted Day 7, 8 and 9 of TIAS and is still persuaded it's a gown, but we all know how tricky Jane is, it could just as easily be a lizard or a rocket ship. Muskaan has written out the pattern for her block tatted bracelet and she's looking for a test tatter.
