Horse, Crosses, Motifs, Doilies, Earrings, Bookmarks, Comb, Bracelet, Angels, Pin and Pendant

The Guidelines
1. Permission to copy. When a participant joins they are authorizing me to copy their pictures to be shown on the challenge blog.
2. The blogs are ALL checked whenever there is an update using the links list in the sidebar on the right, there is no need to advise me that you have added new content. If your new items haven't shown up, it's because I haven't had time to do an update yet.
3. I can't keep track of how many motifs each person does. You may post articles of tatting that you don't plan on including in your 25, or you may post a pair of earrings and count each earring as a separate motif. I don't read minds, so it's up to each participant to tell me when they have reached their goal of 25.
4. From past experience I know the challenge is addictive. If you finish and plan on doing it again let me know so that I continue to check your blog on a regular basis. Also let me know if once was enough so that I can move your blog to the list of past participants.
5. Whenever you get a chance don't just view the pictures here, take the time to click on the links to people's blogs and read all about what they are doing, instead of just getting the snippets of it here. People like it when you take the time to visit their blog and comment on their work. A lot of the fun of the challenge is that we get to know each other and encourage one another to try new things.
6. Tatting 25 motifs in a year typically means tatting 2 motifs per month. Tatters who do not post any tatting content for 5 or 6 months will be removed from the list of participants.
---------------

Marthanne tatted a horse from Tatted Animals by Inga Madsen and named it Sterling. Her favourite cross to tat is the Split Ring Cross by Jane Eborall, a pattern from 2004.

Melanie wanted to see how the pattern used in the online class would look done in two colours and she thinks she likes it, but next time she'll make sure she has enough thread. She wanted to see what it would look like done in finer thread so she tatted it again in size 80.

Diane tatted "Maria" one of her favourite cross patterns from Lene Bjorn's Tatted Bookmarks ~ cross~shaped in size 80 Lizbeth #678, Olive Dk. She didn't feel like she tatted a lot in September, but she still has quite a few finished projects to show as well as a lot of new techniques learned.

Eliz has her This Wat or Tat Dotted Snowflake by Muskaan exercise done. Helga Schilders, a member of the Dutch Tatting Circle, based these lovely earrings on the Blooming Trellis Bookmark. Eliz started this corner bookmark some time ago using the pattern from Nancy Tracy, working in size 20 Flora. The little flower is her own addition.

Lilas plans to participate again in the Christmas market of Pôle Bijou in Baccarat again this year and she is working on a theme inspired by nature for  Earrings, Combs, pins and clasps flower, Bracelet “carpet of moss”, but she has much more to do yet.

Margaret finds Birgit's Button Angel is a very good pattern to use up thread left on a shuttle and is a variation of the Simple Angel by Birgit Phelps. They are all slight different, tatted in Lizbeth thread no 20 in Green Coral Sea, Niagara Falls and Cranberry Bush. This Pinterest challenge bracelet was tatted last month. This  time she made the rings bigger 5+5/5+5 and the chains are the same 15 ds worked in White and Green Coral Sea.

Marie has provided the instructions for creating her Dew Drop Brooch, both the bar it hangs from and the medallion. Further to the instructions for creating the brooch she has included instruction for adding beads. This one is a slight variation. This pendant is a hematite cabochon, encapsulated in tatting with 2 strands of metallic copper sewing machine thread.

Sue finally finished row 16 and only has 1 more to go, but it might take a while since she's also working on Christmas gifts.
