Edging, Doilies, Leaves, Earrings, Motifs and Snowflake

Lilas has been using Cebelia which has a limited colour choice, but then Fox sent her some Lizbeth to try out and now it looks like she has a new love.

Stephanie has tatted the same doily from Tatted Treasures by Jan Stawasz in DMC ecru size 80 and Perfect Quilter colour #021. The leaves are for an upcoming Online Tatting Class event and are tatted in Lizbeth size 20 Leaf Green  med.

Lelia tatted her first pair of earrings using Marilee Rockley's pattern, called Filigree Earrings with Delica beads, and Lizbeth colour 117 size 20.

Carrie tried tatting with  interesting, very shiny, and slippery, possibly embroidery thread, that came in a bag from one of her quilting friends.

Diane shows the progress made by her 5th graders.

Fox is making progress on Renulek's Spring Doily, but she's not happy with the Lizbeth thread. She's finding that the size 80 Lizbeth thread gets fine, slubby and inconsistent the further she gets into the ball and although the colours are in her stash, they aren't what she would normally choose.

Marie cast a tatted medallion in resin to make this unique piece.

Mica tatted Light and Airy Snowflake from Vida Sunderman's book with Kreinik braid no. 4 which makes the 50th motif she has done and ends round 2 of her 25 Motif Challenge.

Orsi is learning Maltese tatting and thinks it will be a perfect medium for jewelry making.

Wanda has been trying out some finer threads, like the quilting thread in white. Gütermann silk quilting thread in blue was used for this motif where she didn't refer to a pattern. The pink and white thread was already loaded on the shuttle when it was given to her and she thinks it's size 70 or 80. Here are the three pieces together with a regular Clover shuttle to show the sizes of the finished pieces.
