Schmath has been taking some tatting lessons and she's ready to take the challenge. Her work from the first level has lots of loose ends, but at level 2 she started hiding ends which made a great improvement. These 3 pieces are her first challenge tatting.
Jane is working on another food cover using Jane Eborall's diamond motif. The star will go in the middle and a diamond in each corner.
Margaret is still worrking on the Tat Along using Lizbeth no 20 Scottish Thistle. Round 3 was easy as it was all long chains.
Maries's favvourite pattern from Martha's book Tea is for Tatting is the Tiny Square Teapot done here in Lizbeth, size 20, Tropical Punch. Here it is again done in Lizbeth, size 20, Falling Leaves.
Lelia loves making Kanzashi flowers embellished with tatting and she has created a pattern sheet with some easy designs for making them.
Anita'a family has a Christmas in July event that she commemorated with a tatted Christmas Tree using the pattern from Nancy Tracy's be-stitched web site.
Marta has made the pattern for one of her necklaces and laboriously produced it for our edification.
Diane tatted her Santaflake in Lizbeth Blue Ice and it's her favourite so The Spinning Wheel glass mat from Tatting with Visual Patterns by Mary Konior is in Navy Greens, hand-dyed by Jess for h daughter Alison.
Fox tatted an edging around this broach using some of the pearls she found last week. She received a lovely package of tatting goodies from Margaret including a lovely tatted bookmark. The Small Coronet Doily by Linda Davies is correct to this point, it's the rest of it that's giving her nightmares.
Frances used Jess's Serendipity HDT size 40 to create a colour splash edging on a plan dress. She finished the Tat Along Lace Mat size 10 white for a finished size of 27cm or 10 1/2 inch.
Sue got a chance to meet the Tollway Tatters and of course there was meeting and greeting and tatting. Denise even managed to get both wings on her angel.
Wanda tried leaving a picot space between her rings and now the zipper pulls hang without kinks although they still twist a little and the thread is Lizbeth # 652 Royal Blue in size 20. The next one is done in the same colour with gun metal seed beads and a silver butterfly bead at the end.
