Earrings, Doilies, Motifs, Bookmarks, Dragon, Parrot, and Edging

Margaret received these pay it forward earrings from Wendy tatted in Country Kitchen Lizbeth 40 with Swarovski crystal beads.

Marie's first attempt at creating a doily was made with three colors of Star, size 80 tatting thread but the last two rows were a little tight. The finished doily was made with size 30 crochet threads and measures just over 7 inches across.

SunshineCraft shows us her tatted blob AKA the clover doily by Eileen Stafford. It takes so little time to do the first couple of rows it seems like you could do several, until reality sets in and you realize each row gets bigger and takes longer to complete.

Bree has begun tatting ornaments for her Christmas tree since they are downsizing to a 2.5 foot tree. These two are in Lizbeth, lime green, size 20. She is planning on using finer thread for larger designs.

Diane's newest Stumpy bookmarks are done in Sulky Blendables Iris. She's been using what's left of her skein of Easter in August from Anika to make pretty butterflies and flowers from Tatting Collage by Lindsay Rogers.

Fox has been frustrated by Tatting Together Square Motifs by Iris Niebach although this pattern by Liz Christiansen worked out quite well on the first try. She modified a cross pattern by Julie Patterson and tatted it in HDT by Krystle. Another modified cross pattern was done in HDT by Tat-ilicious

Frances shares her Empress Flower Garden suncatcher, tatted with size 40 thread in Lizbeth Ocean Sunset and dark Green which will be sent off to a friend for her birthday.

IsDihara tatted Anne's minor Norwegian dragon with sparkly gold, but sadly after suffering a mishap with the dogs he's missing his head. The owner of Toothless the dragon wants Mommy to fix him, giving him 2 heads and feet making a Hideous Zippleback.

Kelly, with some trepidation, needle tatted Jane's wonderful new parrot pattern in Altin Basak threads and it worked out very well.

Sue finished tatting the butterfly edging in size 40 Lizbeth Girly Girl and sewed it onto a skort. 2 separate butterflies were added to the hem.

Wanda rediscovered a picture she had given her mother years ago that had been embellished with tatting. Seeing it years later explains why you ought to use acid free paper and glues that don't turn colour with age.
