Frances has decided to join the challenge and she begins with 3 motifs from The Complete book of tatting by Rebecca Jones, followed by one from Tatting Patterns and Designs by Gun Blomqvist and Elwy Persson. To finish it off she did Elizabeth's Little Cross.
Heather found getting her entries into and out of the state fair was a bit of a challenge but her piece won a second place. The pattern is from the book Tatting from Burda, made in size 10 thread and measures about 40 cm across.
Joy finished one of Lynn Morton's patterns, a lovely tatted choker in size 20, that she thinks is a bit thick and might look better done in size 80 but she was trying to use up some of her stash. Now that it's done, she doesn't think it's either a style or a colour that would look good on her. The next one comes from an old adapted edging in New Things Happen to Tatting and she did matching earrings to go with it. The design is longer than the choker and has an adjustable chain on the back to give it another couple of inches.
Marta made this pendant using a plastic keyring and 5 amber beads.
Mary tatted another bookmark in shades of a pretty green with sunny yellow flowers in the middle.
Diane has 4 of the outer round motifs done which means she's nearly a quarter of the way through it.
Fox has taken another stab at one of the snowflakes from Jon's new book. Literally. And she has the scars to prove it.
Gina tatted an edging from a Norma Benporath booklet and while the end results is pretty enough it has a very odd sort of construction. I think I'd ditch the central ring on the flower in favour of a mock ring with rings thrown off.
Katherinne has has a busier semester than anticipated so she hasn't had much time for tatting other than Jon's Merriment Doily, in Lizbeth Victorian Red size 10 that she is working on.
Wanda made a bookmark for one of the friends that she went vacationing with. Never mind that the "book" it will be used in is a Nook.
