Animals, Bookmarks, and Doilies

Since Sharon isn't able to update the 25 Motif Challenge, I thought I'd step in and do one for her. It's been awhile since I've done an update, so please forgive me if I miss anyone. Don't worry if you've been missed, you will be in the next update. Please note: the participants are not in the same order as they are in the list-I don't think it matters, but I'm just sayin'.

Anika shares with us her thread dyeing techniques.

Ginny has tatted a cat in an unnamed size 10 thread and Dianna Steven's alligator.

Jess shows us a bookmark she designed. She also tatted Jon's Merriment Doily/Coaster twice; one in Lizbeth size 40 Confetti, and the other in Lizbeth size 40 Denim Whisper. Her final motif was one she made up while traveling, this one done in Lizbeth size 20 thread.

Ninetta designed an absolutely adorable pair of baby booties with a butterfly on the top. She made the first bootie is DMC size 80 thread in pink, but it is too small. The size 60 thread she tried next is also too small. She figures a size 30 thread should work. She also shares with us an edging made using a Celtic Tatting technique she learned.

Mary tatted a pendent over a cabone ring.

Bonnie tatted KBDesignOriginal's Rosy Ironbark bookmark. She has tatted this pattern several times, but has forgotten to photograph them until now.

Isdihara has tatted Orsi's Napoleon motif using Lizbeth 40 #638 Christmas Green. She has also tatted Wanda Salmon's Heart's Honor Bookmark in Lizbeth 40 Peacock Blues. Finally she shares with us Toothless, the  Flying Minor Norwegian Dragon by Anne Bruvold. Quite a few threads were using in making him, and Isdihara changed the pattern a bit to suit her needs.

Carol made a Twilight inspired bookmark using Mark Meyer's Apple and Bat patterns.

Brigitte has tatted edging # 8902 from the Tatter's Treasure Chest which she intends to sew onto the cuffs of a denim shirt. She used white Lizbeth Size 20 thread.

Gina has tatted another butterfly using summer inspired colours, Yarnplayer's Garden Afternoon size 20 and Lizbeth Leaf Green Medium in size 20. She also tatted Jon's Chinese Coin bookmark using size 30 Cebelia. Everything was going good until she found an error while working the second side. She plans on tatting it again another time.

Fox is one busy lady. Since she posts nearly daily, I'm only going to show what she has done in the past couple of days. I urge everyone to go to her blog to see everything she has posted. Hopefully everyone will understand (especially Fox). Fox tatted a motif from Myra Piper's book using Finca size 16 thread for the first motif and a larger thread for the second motif. She added the second round of tatting to the motif she working on from Frivolité de Corinn. She used some of Yarnplayer's  Celery HDT but found it was smaller than the thread she used for the centre. It cupped so she had to cut off the second round. Finally she tatted Jon's Baiduri snowflake using Cebelia size 20 for the white thread.

Dianne has made a little progress on Corinne's doily that she is working on. She has also made a little progress tatting her blue doily.

Cindy has been practicing making clunies. She took a break from clunies to make Elizabeth's little Cross bookmarks. She used size 20 Lizbeth thread to make them.

Kat has tatted two pairs of Krystle's Spanish Dancer earrings in Lizbeth white and red. She also tweaked the pattern to make a pendant using Lizbeth Vineyard Harvest. She both needle and shuttle tatted these motifs.

Lily was inspired by Krystal Dawn and Yarnplayer and created a necklace using a tatted flower she made earlier for a gift.

Wanda made a tatted spider and web for a Halloween decoration to enter in the state fair. She tatted the web using size 80 Lizbeth color 602 natural along with a strand of metallic Coats threads. The spider is made using gold Cebelia size 30, color #437.

Sue has been working on her tablecloth. It is currently 35 inches long.

Sherry has posted a free pattern for a mock hairpin lace doily.

I think that's everybody. Again my apologies if I missed anyone.
