Doilies, Motifs, Edging, Snowflake, Necklace, Bookmark, Dragon and Snowman

Ginny remarked that she thought of joining the challenge while she was doing last row of her doily which had 36 motifs in it, and now she is working on an Anne Orr doily. However, she has plans for some animals for a baby quilt and some Christmas tatting, so the should help to keep her on track.

Heather was thrilled that her Rose Garden doily done in size 10 DMC threads, in white, mauve taupe and yellow, designed by Darlene Polachic and found in “Big Book of Tatting” won a first place ribbon.
Joy tatted this simple edging and may use it to trim a linen cloth. Or she might use the linen envelope style to carry her tatting with a matching appliqued snowflake motif that mirrors the design on the linen. Maybe with an added closure motif, or...so many possibilities.

Marta calls this necklace creation Nougat made with honey coloured thread wrapped around a bauble. The bookmark uses the same thread.

IsDihara is in the tatting zone, making beginner kits for Palmetto Tat days and tatting her Fleur de Lis Motif Sample in Lizbeth 20 #642 Lilac Medium with free floating rings that should allow for joining several together. Anyone wishing to test tat it can email her for information. Wanda Salmans' Heart's Honor bookmark being worked in Lizbeth 40 Peacock Blues is closer to completion. Then she began a test tat of Anne Bruvold's Flying Minor Norwegian Dragon in pastel-colored quilting cotton blended with a sample of YLI red-gold variegated thread that CrazyMom sent. Fantastic, flying fingers, furiously tatting miles of lace.

Martha posts a reminder that Palmetto registration is now open and the design shown is by Pam Freck, and will be on your Palmetto T-shirt.
Orsi is finished with the brown necklace which will have a silk ribbon to wear.
