Doilies, Motifs, Bell, Necklaces, Earrings, Bracelet and Edging

Joy shows us a doily she tatted by copying one her grandmother made. Then she found the pattern in New Things Happen to Tatting (1942)which is one of the 4 books she owns. Then she tried a pattern on Jon's blog and eventually hopes to make a runner for her piano.

Magda has been experimenting with something that translates as braid tatting using twist Aida No. 20 in ecru silver lined glass beads that make the designs sparkle like real snowflakes.

Linda's partner for the tatting exchange in the Needles and Shuttles Yahoo Tatting Group was Rose Anne Burdeny from Winnipeg, Canada who tatted this bell and Christmas wreath for her.

Carol participated in the Vandergrift Fine Arts Festival and demonstrated tatting. Her display table included an assortment of eye catching projects and her donated item for the fund raising raffle was Yarnplayer's Duchess necklace in Lizbeth thread, dusty rose, from her "Boutique Tatting" book and Yarnplayer's Carnival Earrings along with a bracelet tatted in a basic Rosette pattern.

Diane was was inspired by a facebook post containing a design that is the first doily pattern in Tatted Fashion by Teiko Fujito. She has the book but wasn't ready to tat it until she had seen what someone other than the designer had done with it. The thread is size 50 Altin Basak, color #363.

Fox has hit the long awaited Ta Da! moment and is ready to show off the glorious red rose hanky with the ruby red ridge of tatting. If you've cleared the decks I have some test tatting you could do.LOL

Sue tatted the Saturn Ring Doily from Traditional Tatting Patterns edited by Rita Weiss. It's tatted in Lizbeth size 40 Lilac Dk. and it's almost too big for the scanner.

Wanda tatted the lovely little doily the cup is sitting on which was designed by Anne Bruvold. It was done in size 30 thread, but she's not sure what brand or colour.
