Butterflies, Bookmarks, Doilies, Motifs, Edgings, Dragon and Snowflakes

Michelle borrowed an idea from Cindy and used glass outlined in metal to encase a tatted butterfly. The pattern was found in Rose-E's tatting and is done in size 80 or 70, one in Lizbeth Carribean and the other threads are from Aunt Rose-E vintage threads. Then she tatted an assortment of little crosses using Cross Hope from snowflake77 from intatters, with split rings.

Axa found this celtic style Shamrock Doily design by Martha Ess a challenge to tat using 8 shuttles. The thread is Anchor Artiste size 20 in 2 shades of green for a charming little doily.

Tattabug has the back section of the elephant completed, but put the headdress aside when she caught a flu bug as she wanted to be able to concentrate on what she was doing. In the meantime she tried a a little Beanile Lace by Nina Libin and is delighted with the results.

Ann spent the time waiting for her little one at the dentist tatting No. 52 - A Tatted Edging from Old-Fashioned Tatting Patterns, Book 1 Edited by Barbara Foster.

Bonnie shows us another lovely design called Firus from Jon Yusoff's new book Elegant Tatting Gems.

Cindy introduces Zinfandel, Anne's dragon pattern done in size 20 Lizbeth Vineyard Harvest. Now that it's done she wants to tat another.

Diane tatted Almas from Jon's Elegant Tatting Gems again, this time in red, which she thinks shows it off to a better advantage. Another design is Ratnasari done in green and she loves the way the colours flow in this pattern.

Fox received a lovely package from Ladytats which included a tatted bookmark and the pattern for it along with the unusual vintage ball of thread that they had been discussing and some other treasures. The thread tats up into very pretty lace. This pretty little motif is Jon's Floret design

Martha shows us EDGING, No. 3 From Tatting or Frivolite; 1862, by Mrs. Mee and Miss Austin, along with the written instructions.

Sue loves this Cross Bookmark from Traditional Tatting Patterns Edited by Rita Weiss. It's tatted in size 40 Celery HDT from YarnPlayer, and size 50 Fushia from LadyShuttlemaker, which are gorgeous together.
