Motifs, Crosses, Bracelet, Earrings, Heart, and Edgings

Michelle found that when one daughter had a dragon bookmark there was a need to make a second for the other daughter who wanted a fiery dragon. So this one is all in Lizbeth size 20, Falling Leaves.

Anika likes this motif, but thinks it might have been done in a better choice of thread. She hates to waste left over thread and usually makes little flowers out of the remnants, but sometimes little flowers are just too small so she makes little crosses instead. Dimpled rings are another way to use up left over thread.

Ninetta tatted this experimental motif in Anchor size 70 ecru trying a variation of cluny leaves that she learned from bobbin lace. The inner area came out sort of heart shaped and she's wondering if she could add a ring to emphasize that.

The colours in this bracelet and earring set remind Marta of cappuccino. This dark set with a deep berry colour beads remind her of the fruit used to make nalewkę an alcoholic concoction made from ripe fruit.

Magda has been busy getting ready for several fairs and bazaars the she participates in. This gold earring set has been named Queen Anne. She also did a new variation of her Sapphire earrings which have been named Sapphire Dream II. She has had these tear drop shapes for a while and finally had the inspiration to add a burgundy feather and a small gold tatted flower.

Sharon has always like to use size 20 thread but she pushed herself out of her comfort zone and tatted RoseMarie Peel's Valentine Heart in size 20, 40 and 80 thread.

Diane has finished the "Cottage Border" from A Pattern Book of Tatting by Mary Konior.

Fox finished the motif from The Tatter's Treasure Chest, using the #70 vintage thread she received from Michelle. And she really likes how this finer thread looks.

Isa has another cat brooch done, this one in size 20 black and pink with cristal beads. These cat brooches will be presents for her husband's sisters when they visit them in Lima, Peru.

Martha won a give-away from Tatting it Up. The "woodgrain" shuttle is actually vinyl and she also received some hand dyed thread and an enclosed card covered with tatted flowers. The snowflake she showed us has morphed into a cross which she may tweak to make the bottom longer.
