Stephanie Grace joins the challenge with Brigit's Button Cross. She's still figuring out what to do with thread ends.
Nami created these earrings with amazonite in a cool shade to counter the current heat wave. The 2mm balls were a little large and didn't work quite the way she'd planned but the overall look is good and there are plans to do it again in other colours.
Sue has the edging attached to her shirt and she's wondering if she can leave the bottom free. I've attached lace to clothing before and I always blind stitch down the outer picots. It takes forever doing it, but once done, I can throw the garment in the wash and not have to block the lace ever again.
Agasunset was challenged to combine tatting with unusual things and the first attempt was yellow and olive bobbles which she made into a bracelet. Then she started again using just yellow to make a necklace. Of course what would the be without matching earrings?
Katherinne had some old teas in her stash and used them to dye thread with very subtle results. Her sister remarked that she hadn't tatted any edgings and in response she tatted a pattern from "A New Twist on Tatting" and made it into a bracelet and soon to be matching necklace. She also has plans for tatting with ribbon. That should be interesting.
Fox managed to get the motif from Tatting Patterns and Designs by Blomqvist and Persson done. Then she made another try at cluny leaves that wasn't a great success. The heat and humidity doesn't help. Damp thread just doesn't slide into place very easily and the thread wasn't working for her so she switched from Lizbeth to Cebelia. That worked better, until she cut off a picot.
Marty thinks Ruth Perry's Snowflake 2008 is a beautiful Celtic pattern because it's made in one continuous round, except that she made it in two colors instead of one, so there were extra threads to hide. Both are made with Lizbeth size 40 thread in Christmas red, Christmas green and white.
