Doilies, Motifs and Hearts

Sue has only been tatting for a couple of months but she's ready to join the challenge because it already looks like she's off to a good start.
Carolyn tatted "Arches" by Marilee Rockley in an unknown size 30 thread that's very pretty in pink. Agasunset is in a design quandary and doesn't know where to go next.

Ann has nothing much to show for her tatting except a snippet from her TAT work.

Katherinne shows us "Hearts Desire," tatted by Beelizabeth in Lizbeth that Katherinne had dyed.
Vinnie has tatted a heart that emerged from her spring doily and she's giving us a peek at something new she is working on and hopes to have finished by the end of the month. Vinnie also has a request for people to tat he Spring doily and show her how it looks. Different people, different tension sometimes results in different results.

Ancolie has finished the baby bonnet that has morphed into a doily. Shhhhh! don't tell anyone and we'll all just think you were designing a doily from the start.
Fox has picked up a needle to start needle tatting. She tried out a couple of rings and then tried a heart and immediately got turned around, making the chain solid and the rings variegated, when what she was striving for was just the opposite.
Sherry has had some questions raised about her new like of metal shuttles which she has answered on her blog. Wally has posted a picture and pattern for a motif that uses roll tatting.

  1. Hi!
Just to clarify: the heart is SHUTTLE tatted! I cannot manage the needle like that! LOL!

  2. Hi Sharon,
I think I left the comment on the wrong entry. Obviously, this is the one I was talking about. That heart is NOT needle tatted!
    Fox : )
