Partial Update

I have gotten behind in updating the blog and I know that if I don't do at least a partial update, I'm never going to get caught up. I am updating for the folks who haven't finished the challenge yet. I'll get to the others later.

Riet has tatted another place marker flower from the pattern of Ineke Kuiperij from her book Allerhande 1 using aurifil # 50/2, a bobbinlace thread, thinner than DMC 100 and leaves made with a pattern from Tonie Storer's book Tatting Down The Garden Path in DMC 80 thread.

Anne ran out of thread and had to order more. She has finished the challenge once but decided to do it all over again this time tatting 25 snowflakes to be mounted with the dragon already completed. Then she has plans to design her own dragon.

Sapna tatted a Jan Stawasz pattern in Tiger Eye thread. The pattern is lovely and works beautifully with Marilee's Tiger Eye colour. Sapna now has a gorgeous doily to match her tatted coasters.

Iris has been busy with her book and doesn't have time to blog, so she posted some pictures of doilies from a round ring she did with Adelheid and Martina from Germany, Hedy from Switzerland and Eva from Sweden. They are all beautiful and inspiration for those currently involved in the round robins. Shay tatted this sweet little edging from one of the creative hands books in size 20 thread and found that it curved slightly. She did it again in size 10 thread and likes the look of it better, but she's not sure what to do with a thicker edging since she dislikes edgings on her dishtowels. Aileen is thrilled to have acquired the BZAR Art Clovis Spear Point Walnut Shuttle from ebay. Christa Burr created the angel wings which were shared with the online tatting class which Aileen has modified. She used size Coats size 100 thread to make this adorable little cell phone accessory. Then she spent the weekend with tatting friends and had a wonderful time.
Bonnie shared pictures of her Great Uncle Francis, who taught her how to tat. The Flowers are destined for the Round Robin.
Stephanie took a pair of wound shuttles and a simple doily pattern with her while she was in Costa Rica learning Spanish. She took the shuttles everywhere with her and managed to come home with a completed doily. Before she left she completed and mailed her first round robin piece, but she didn't have time to blog about it so here are the tatted violets. CarolL. joins the challenge with Teri Dusenbury's pattern done in Coats and Clark Button Craft thread about size 30 in a light peach colour.
