Snowflakes, Wreath, 3D Bell, Star, Christmas Trees, Flowers, Doilies, Ornaments, Pins and 3D Angel
Debbie's Christmas tatting included Parfait Snowflake from Marilee Rockley's tatting course on Craftsy in Lizbeth size 20 and was her first attempt at tatting with 2 shuttles. The Christmas wreath pattern tatted in DMC thread is from allcraftsblogs.
mb duke tatted Renulek's bell pattern in Altin Basak metallic gold size 50 thread to match the gold of the hand bells, as a gift for the church hand bell choir director.
Lelia did the Tatted Star from Myra Piper's book for her Mother-in-Law.
Nancy has been busy with her Christmas tatting. A variety of Christmas trees, candy canes and wreaths.
Carrie used size 10 thread in orange and brown to create these cute hairpins for her daughter. The larger flower is from Lindsay Rogers' Tatting Collage and the smaller cupped center is something she came up with accidentally. Shhhh, don't let the cat out of the bag, that's how a lot of designers find their creations.
Diane continues her flurry of snowflakes with Doodad Snowflake #5 with beads. Doodad Snowflake #6 is the same clover pattern as Doodad Snowflake #5 with the chains facing the opposite direction. The next snowflake was just a doodle as she had her mind on other things. Then there was another quick doodle. The reason of course is that the doily is finally finished. Another doodle was finished at her sister in law's. Here is the doily after it was gifted, given pride of place on a handcrafted table.
Fox finished the doily pattern from Il Chiacchierino Vol. 3 in size 40 Lizbeth and Krystle's Wisteria Lane with Delica and pearly-translucent beads. At 9 inches across it barely fit on the scanner. This charming little snowflake pattern is by Sally Kerson and was done in size 40 Lizbeth. Fox received the Lizbeth thread she had ordered in pink and gray, #80 and re-started the pattern from the Dutch publication. The colours are more vibrant, but but she believes the recipient will appreciate them.
Kristen tatted this little Russian Ёлка tree in size 80 thread. It's a New Year tree because in the Russian Orthodox calendar New Year comes before Christmas. This ёлка is from the book Макраме Фриволите by Любовь Чурина. She used the HDT sent to her by Fox to tat Abigail. She added another row to the Small Loop-Stitch Snowflake tom make a the Large Loop-Stitch Snowflake. Her first doodad tat, courtesy of is supposed to be her Athalia pattern, but being distracted at the time she added some stitches in some places and subtracted them in others. LadyTats' Threes Snowflake was done and is currently on the tree. Then there is Tattypatty's First Christmas Snowflake of 2012. In another variation, she added a row to it to create this one. Her final snowflake that didn't quite make it by the deadline is Eileen Stafford's snowflake 2000 which took longer than expected to finish.
Margaret tatted Celeste, by Joelle Paulson, first just in thread and then with beads. The snowflake from Nancy's Be-stitched.com is called Tatted 10-Point Snowflake and is followed by Swirl Snowflake from the book Tatted Snowflakes by Vida Sunderman. The collection of 6 snowflakes are Twinkle Twinkle, by Joelle Paulson, the last of her snowflakes for Christmas.
Marie has variations on her Christmas balls using bugle beads. Here are some more she made for family, and the pattern for them is available on her site. She found a tube with these cute little 1" balls at an estate sale and did the tatting with size 30 thread. The hummingbird pin was found at a yard sale and the tatting was done in size 20 thread. She found this pin at an antique sale and added tatting in Lizbeth, size 20, Boysenberry.
Martha used the December Motif by Frivole and a bead spinner to add a lot of beads to her ball of thread. Then she wound off enough thread for each snowflake. Clever and quick!
Mica used Kreinik braid No. 4 to tat the Cloverleaf Snowflake from Tatted Snowflakes by Vida Sunderman.
Orsi has completed a new and better pattern for her 3D angel and the pattern will be available soon.

Snowflakes, Motifs, Tardis, Ornaments and Earrings
Diane continues her snowflake countdown to Christmas with Doodad Snowflake #4, minus the doodad, and a single bead replacing each picot. Doodad Snowflake #5 with it's outer clovers is one of her favourite designs.
Fox tatted Mirabelle, another of Frivole's designs in Lizbeth #40, and Krystle's Wisteria Lane HDT. It's shown here next to a paperclip for scale so we can see how tiny it is.
Kristen tatted the Whirlaway Snowflake from Tatted Snowflakes in a size 30 Cebélia thread that's not exactly a Christmas colour, but still pretty on the tree. Another snowflake from the same page is the Small Loop-Stitch Snowflake, which needs some blocking to spruce it up. That completes her 25 Motif Challenge and an additional 25 motifs done in time for Christmas.
Margaret is also continuing her snowflake countdown with the Snowflake Ornament from Easy Tatting in Lizbeth size 20. The Sweetheart Snowflake pattern was designed by Natalie Rogers based on Gina Butlers Brides Garter Pattern. She didn't like the way it cupped, so she added picots half way up the chains to make it hold it's shape better. Next she tatted the Double/Triple Picot Snowflake pattern by Sally Magill, which makes a neat little snowflake.
Marie used Lizbeth size 20 Turquoise Twist to tat Anne Bruvold's Tardis pattern. Lady Tats Meandering Path was tatted with Lizbeth, size 40, red burst and draped over a Christmas ornament. The Tatted Pumpkin Earrings by Penolopy are tatted with in Lizbeth, size 20, Leaf Green med and Harvest Orange med.
